This is a must do if you are in the area. Our guide, Sergio (not the owner), was really friendly and answered all our questions. First off this is a small group excursion. There was myself and my boyfriend and then four other people who knew each other. They take their time and really let you enjoy the experience for as long as you want. First you go and zip line on two different zip lines. Having never done this before, I was a bit nervous, but it was loads of fun. After that you get to take a canoe and canoe around a lagoon on your own. We saw lots of different birds and turtles. Then you walk over to a cenote to swim. The water felt amazing and was crystal clear, really beautiful! Next you meet back at the office and talk with the owners. They are really personable and you learn all about the importance of the cenote and the Mayan culture, also how they discovered the cave cenote. They have fresh fruit and water for you. Then you get in their van and they take you to the most amazing place! It's a bumpy ride that takes you past and through many Mayan villages. Finally you get to the cave cenote. It is truly a unique experience. Sergio takes you through a pitch black cave cenote. You hold onto a light so that you can see all the stalactites and bats. I will never forget this experience! Thanks Sergio for making this a very memorable day for me! This is well worth the money and much better than swimming with caged animals or really large groups that the other places offer.
