We spent two nights at this beautiful and peaceful place and had the best time. The cabanas are beautiful and clean. You got shared bathrooms, but that is not really a problem as they are well maintained and clean at any time and so is the beach which is white and pristine, just in front or your footstep. I would go back any time. I loved the sound of the ocean all night. Romantic, peaceful, quiet, good restaurants nearby. A truly wonderful place and very good value for your money.

Coco Tulum is heaven on earth!!! Me and my friend was there in the end of april. I haven´t seeing any place like it before. The beach is just some steps away. If you just wanna relax and feel like you are in a desert island then please choose CoCo Tulum. It is a bit away from town but like the others here say the restaurangs around CoCo Tulum will give you good service.
I just want to warn you for the mosquitos that during this period are just crazy. You should buy a Mexican repellent, they work very good!! ask the reception stuff!!
I also wanna thank the guy at the reception for our talks. I had a terrific time =) getting to know more about mexican life.
Also thanks to the girl in the reception who helped me find a car rental in Tulum city. Gracias por todo!!!
Well I had a great and calm time in CoCo Tulum. It is a quite place for you to relax and just sink in your own thoughts.
I almost forgot, they have wireless internet!!!Great!!Recomended is to rent a car if you wanna get to Chichen Itza later.
Brenda

Great place to stay while in Tulum. Clean, friendly, all around awesome. Caution that the cabanas have a shared bathroom, but they do a solid job of keeping it clean, so it's not bad at all. Very cute.

My partner and I just stayed in a beach side cabana at Coco Tulum for 10 days and it was a little piece of paradise. Cabana 5 is a great spot!

The reviews here are spot on- Coco's is a great mid-range option in Tulum. Good value compared to the surrounding hotels, nice and quiet with cool people saying there, great cabanas, good shared bathrooms and the restaurant and services at the sister hotel (Playa Azul) were great. It's a pretty romantic setting...

We managed to get one of their package deals so our continental breakfast was included each morning- a nice value add.

If you're traveling to the area here's a few tips: you can take a regular bus (ADO company is great, just like a greyhound) to the bus station for really cheap, and then catch a cab to Coco's from the station. All of the taxi prices around town are posted on a board outside the bus station so all of the cabs should charge you a consistent price.

Trips back to town are cheap with good eats. Check out the stalls around the corner from the bus station (1-2 blocks south). Paradise del Caribe is a great restuarant in town, and Posada Margarita and Mezzanine are stellar restaurants on the beach. And don't balk at the cheeseburger at Playa Azul- it's amazing!

Honestly, we weren't impressed by the Tulum ruins but Coba, snorkeling at the Grand Cenote and snorkeling on the reef off the coast of Tulum were great little day trips. You can hire a boat to take to the reef for $25 a head from Playa Maya.

Oh, and stay at Coco's. It's great!

Everything is great about this place!
After 2 weeks of backpacking trough Yucatan and Chiapas, we stayed two nights in a beach cabana (with mosquito net) at Coco Tulum.
You truly feel like you're in paradise: the cosy cabana, white sand and beautiful see gets you instantly in a romantic mood.
The place itself is clean: cabana is cleaned everyday. The shared bathroom gets cleaned three times a day.
Private parking.
At 100 meters, there is a beach club where you can eat and hang around, so the beach in front of the cabana is always calm.
They don't serve breakfast, you you have to go to the center for this.

My best friend and I stayed at Coco Tulum for 3 nights this March and had a fabulous experience with this hotel. We stayed in Tower 2. There is only one tower and your number (1,2, or 3) represents which floor the room is on. The tower was gorgeous! From the second floor we had an AMAZING view of the trees and ocean. We woke up with the sun each morning just to lie in bed and enjoy the view. It was really gorgeous and relaxing. Staying in the tower makes you feel like you are in a fairy tale.

Coco has affordable bungalows which are very cute and stylishly decorated. The sand garden area surrounding the bungalows and tower is also very cute. There is nothing beachfront at Coco except for some comfy hammocks. A short walk down the beach gets you to Playa Azul (same management as Coco) and they have a full beachfront bar and restaurant, kitesurfing school, beach loungers, and palapas. The staff at Playa Azul were very nice and didn't mind at all that we used their loungers each day on the beach.

Our room in Tower 2 was clean and comfortable. The king size bed had a nice looking and fully functional mosquito net surrounding it. There were benches and hanging rods built into the walls in between the windows which gave us some nice space to keep our luggage. There are no screens in the windows and the shower and toilet area are set back from the bedroom but do not have a door or wall...it is all one open space. Coco is located on a beautiful stretch of beach. It is a 60 pesos cab ride from Avenida Tulum in the Pueblo.

We enjoyed our stay at Coco and would happily return.
