“Good, Cheap Breakfast”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 10, 2010

Although I thought the atmosphere was a little odd and the service slow (considering the two of us were the only ones dining there at the time), the breakfast good and very reasonably priced. We each had crepes (mine veggie/eggs and my wife's tomato/basil). I had a banana/strawberry smoothie that was refreshing and my wife had an espresso. I think the total bill was around $13-14 USD. I would be more inclined to recommend it if it were not in an awkward location, somewhat uncomfortable and if it had friendlier service.

“Great food at reasonable prices served by friendly people”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 30, 2010

We were in Tulum for three weeks and kept coming back over and over again. The owners are almost always there and take personal care of the preparation and service. The food is wholesome, delicately seasoned and artfully presented. And all this at reasonable prices.

“Our Favorite Restaurant”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 29, 2010

This restaurant was ideal for our family and we went back four times. As a break from Mexican food, they serve wonderful crepes (Nutella was our favorite!), baguette sandwiches, salads, drinks with fruit or coffee, and desserts (including ice cream!). We sat in a pleasant seating area in the back. There's also a streetfront area, outdoors and shaded. The staff is friendly and multi-lingual. It's on a side street (Centaurio) 1/2 block from the main street in town. This was truly our favorite restaurant by far.

“We'd return to elemental in a heartbeat!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 30, 2010

We enjoyed our visit to this restaurant for lunch. It's a tiny place; we were seated in a charming courtyard. Our party of four enjoyed a variety of their offerings, including chicken curry, huevos rancheros, veggie sandwich (with delicious home-baked ciabatta bread) and ham/cheese sandwich (with home-baked bread). We all were very pleased, with the freshness, quality and serving sizes. The owner, Diego, was friendly and genuine; we felt welcome and relaxed. We will make it a point to visit this restaurant every time we're in Tulum.

“Terrific breakfast”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed January 16, 2010

With friendly service, good coffee, fresh-baked bread, an excellent fruit plate, and a good scramble, this is a great place to start your day in Tulum. I was slightly disappointed with one of our juice drinks, but otherwise this is a great find. The location half a block off the main street makes it much quieter in spite of its convenience, and the courtyard seating is quieter still.
