My husband and I spent an afternoon at El Tabano and had the most wonderful lunch and bottle of wine. You must try the guacamole salad - yum! What a wonderful atmosphere, decorated so funky and comfortable - just great! Loved it!

Yum Yum Yum!

We ate at El Tabano 3 times while we were in Tulum for our honeymoon. I am grateful to have read about it before our trip so we could discover it at the beginning. That way we had time to go back multiple times for the amazing food. We even went for our "thanksgiving dinner".

We had such an array of items but the ones that really stuck out in our memory were the stuffed jalenpenos, the fish tacos (unlike any other fish tacos you have ever had), the meatballs, the flan, and the tamales. Basically, every dish we had was uniquely prepared and delicious.

We usually just asked them for reccomendations when we got there since the menu changed daily. The ambiance is great and it was comfortable yet funky. We loved sitting out doors by candlelight and it was fun to see the new menu everyday.

Service was excellent. Sadly, i cannot remember our friend's name but he was there everynight and we enjoyed talking to him each time we came.

If i visit again, i will definitely try and eat here most nights!

This place is run by a couple, she is fom Spain and he is Mexican. Food is always fresh and the choice of dishes is on a board where explanations are made on the spot by the owners. Sitting out by te garden is beautiful. The food is delicious and prepared right there by the chef. Bring insect repellent.

This place is everything that everyone says it is. All good, all original and a must eat.

The owners Paf and Laura, started this place with nothing and have done a great job turning a lot that was covered in junk into a quaint little spot serving only creative and eclectically inspired dishes. They are usually there running around making sure everything is the way it should be.

It is very moderately priced, not as expensive as the other places nearby like Posada Margherita, although also delicious.

The menu changes all the time and it is written in chalk on a giant chalk board under the palapa.

I had a roasted chicken with vegetables and my wife had a cheese and veggie salad, both were as fresh as could be.

You must go there if you are headed to the beach.

This place is straight out of a 60's romance novel about the caribbean.

Israel, one of their servers, who served us, was very nice, attentive, helpful, patient and will help you pick your dish.
