We were the only people in the place, the food was freshly prepared and very tasty. This place makes the best homemade lemonade Ive ever had! Friendly staff and a great vibe.

We really liked this restaurant and were pleased that we found it on the last night of our stay as it was a good end to our holiday. The food was good, service friendly and they had lovely jazz playing. The atmosphere is relaxed in a garden-type setting, I'd recommend it to anyone going to the beach area in Tulum. Try to the speciality pork dish and very spicey shrimps (actually good sized prawns).

Not pretentious. Delicious flavors. Mexican food with a good wine list (nice combo). Great dining area with eclectic seats and tableware. Highly recommend the stuffed jalapenots and ancho chiles. the pasilla fish was also tasty. The chilled avacado soup was a miss. Too sweet; tasted like melted ice cream. But overall a Tulum favorite.

This was the restaurant we liked best in our 4 days in Tulum. Good wine. Not pretentious. I had a lasagna that actually had no pasta, but rather thinly sliced zucchini. It was healthy but still tasted good. Hubby had I think ribs, and the sauce was a green tomato sauce that was AMAZING. I wish I could bring some home! Lastly, just for added cuteness, a kitten was wandering the premises and took a little nap at our feet. We're not really cat people, but we couldn't help but find him charming. He didn't touch us at all or bother us in any way, just content to be around. Many staff spoke English. Our waiter's English was a little less fluent, but he still took the time to point out to us a rare occurence of a ring forming around the moon, which we never would have seen without him pointing it out. Don't miss El Tabano!

If your experience with Mexican food is limited to tacos and burritos, stop here for a taste of some authentic cooking. The daily menu is on a giant blackboard, but it's easier to look into the kitchen and see what's stewing in the pots. The restaurant in on the jungle side of the beach road and is beautifully lit at night with tables tucked into small groves of trees. The drink menu also is creative. We typically don't order dessert but couldn't resist the three cheeses cake. The portion was plenty big enough for 3 of us, and it was well worth the calories. We will definitely return.
