My Partner and I Loved this hotel. The owners were very delightful and helpful. They truly made this place feel like our home away from home.

This little hotel has a lot of character. It is simple, cute, clean, and is run by warm and authentic yucatenos. Designed and constructed by one of the proprietors, it has a decidedly rustic feel, a quirky rough-hewn sensibility. Located in the Tulum pueblo itself, in a largely residential neighborhood, the traveler can almost feel a part of real mexico. Outside your balcony you may see across the rooftops or in the street REAL PEOPLE. Ask your hostess and host for reccomendations on where to eat -- you may actually go to someone's house for some real Mayan cooking. We were told to go to such and such a neighborhood tienda (store) at such and such a time to find Wilma, who I must say cooked hands down the best food I have ever eaten in Mexico, and for many less pesos than the closest contender. Showers were warm, drinking water complementary, hammocks are everywhere, and the central courtyard was a great place to start a day of adventuring, with its little cocina. I think they have wi-fi, but I didn't use it. If you are coming to the Yucatan to share in its culture, and slow down to Mayan time, this little hotel is a great value.

Lo Nuestro is a very nice small hotel. The owners said the place was built with love and it shows. Our large room was a standard so it had no jacuzzi but the shower/toilet area was cool with nice tiles, pretty painted sink and curved walls. There are nice unique details all over but it's not too much for those who like things simple. It's very clean and we felt perfectly comfortable. The location is super if you want to stroll downtown and be in that action (shopping etc). As stated in previous reviews the owner will also advise you of a local Mayan woman's cafe nearby. You'd never find it on your own and that is one part of our trip when we really felt like we'd experienced some true local culture. Definitely check it out and enjoy the delicious and cheaply priced food she prepares. She was worth generously tipping! (Note to anyone concerned about eating there: We didn't get sick at all.)

Probably the only thing that would make this hotel better value is if they provided drinking water and at least coffee in the morning. Otherwise it's lovely.

We divided out stay in Tulum with a night downtown at Lo Nuestro and a night at a beach cabana and it was the right thing to do. If you're visiting Tulum chances are you definitely want to spend time as close to the ocean as you can.

Lo Nuestro Petit was a lovely find in Tulum (well, we found it on TripAdvisor first!). The owners Jorge and Miroslawa have created a real oasis in a local setting--and they're just the sweetest people! This suprisingly elegant hotel is just a few blocks from the main drag in Tulum (shopping, restaurants, etc.) . The rooms are HUGE and clustered around a sweet courtyard furnished w/ roughhewn tables and stools. Miroslawa designed the spaces--her taste leans toward the simple & sparse, with artistic touches of a single conch shell displayed on a counter and a lovely Mexican blanket providing a splash of color in a white washed room w/ terracotta floors--very Santa Fe villa looking, actually. The king platform bed was super comfy. We loved the open bath design--the shower shares the corner w/ the toilet, separated from the room by a gracefully curving wall, but some couples may be a bit uncomfortable w/ the lack of bathroom privacy. Our room had a hammock strung in a little patio that we quite enjoyed--other rooms had a hammock off the balcony. And though there were barking roving dogs in the area (it IS a Mexican town, folks!) we used the AC at night which drowned them out. Anyway, I can't imagine a nicer place or nicer hosts in Tulum for this price (or any price). And it's still a work in progress: Miroslawa is still planning on adding a few more select pieces of furniture to each room (a small table, chairs, etc.) and I suggested that they offer guests the use of their open air courtyard kitchen--they did let us keep our beer in that fridge as there aren't fridges in the room yet. We were there for 2 nights and would definitely stay there again if we went back to Tulum.

Not a complaint about this place or Tulum! Went to go cenote diving, checked out almost all the places, and this one is a real gem. Firstly - It is not on the water, so no bedbug infested Cabanas! The rooms were stunning easily at 4 star equivalents in terms of space and appointment. This is a boutique "Hotel". It only has a handful of rooms. The common area was filled with travelers every night and was a fantastic place to socialize. Miroslava and Jorge will make you feel like one of their own kids who just so also happen to live at the hotel.

This hotel is located a 2 minute walk from the main highway/strip. Cenote Divers is located on the same street just across the strip.

Honestly, best accomodations if you don't need to be right on a piece of beach.
