Food was very good. Fresh pasta and fresh fish. Dining room very crowded and a bit chaotic. Staff not directing traffic well.

Super expensive, limited menu. Only one or two vegetarian options, but ask for the gelato (vanilla, chocolate, or pistachio)! It was delicious and perfect for a hot day. 105 pesos for two cones with one scoop each.

It's not cheap, but then again most good restaurants on this beach road aren't. Very cool place, great decorations that make it hip but also cozy, right on the beach. Italian food is very high quality (I'm Italian) and ingredients super fresh. The bar serves strong drinks and the owner, Alessandro, is a great host. We were staying at the hotel next door and ended up eating here three times in our week long vacation. Feels strange to eat Italian in Mexico, but their food is so good we didn't care.

My wife and I were staying just up the road from here and decided to have supper there. From the road, you walk up a candlelit path through the entryway. When you get in the restaurant, it was decorated with old doors and windows. Weathered and hanging from rafters, or free standing. No walls, no frames, just windows and doors, and candles. The dining area is open to the beach and the breeze flows through it all night with waves crashing in the background. The ambiance is on that would be tough to match anywhere.

The owner comes to the table and explains the menu. It is small and very focused, the way it should be. He told us all about the food, the fresh pasta, the local ingredients and the cooking methods. A fantastic concept I had never experienced before.

I had Linguini Pomodoro and my wife had the fish caught that day (snapper), which was poached in sea water and olive oil. It was unforgettable. Before your meal they bring a tray of fresh breads, tomatoes, red onions, olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Our starter was the tomatoe and spinach salad.

At the end of the meal the owner at back with us, asked about our vacation, answered all of our questions about how he cam from Italy to Mexico and why he ended up staying. It was a nice addition to a great meal that made us feel very welcome and very much a part of an experience rather than simple a meal.

We will be back.

If it's date night, this could be a great spot for you, although some of the tables for two could get you into a foursome or more. The food and service is great and the atmosphere and vibe is gentle, relaxing and as romantic as the candle lit path to the door leads you to believe!
