Casa Las Olas is a wondeful small hotel which offers perfect peace and quiet on a stunning beach. If you want a traditional large five star hotel, with numerous staff, cocktails by the pool and entertainment then this is not for you. If you want a four bedroom hotel which offers you perfect privacy, friendly service and a wonderful boutique rustic retreat then this is.

As Tulum should be - simply wonderful

This was my third trip to Tulum (in three years) and my girlfriend's first. In the past I had stayed at villas closer to the center of Boca Paila and had a chance to visit and eat at a good number of the villas and resorts (some small, some sprawling) dotting the coast. For this trip, I was looking for someplace more secluded, more private. Casa de las Olas was exactly what I was looking for. The master suite is as good as it looks. Decadent but not extravagant - lots of sun, sound of the waves, fully stocked kitchen, and clean. No A/C or fans but the breeze did fine (and my temp runs warm). We had the run of the place to ourselves practically the entire time. Being located at the end of Boca Paila right before Sian Kaan means very little foot traffic along the beach and makes you feel like you've got your own private paradise. If you want people waiting on you hand and foot this isn't that. The owner and folks who maintain the place are great and around as much or as little as you like. Plenty of spots you can walk up the beach to and get drink service in a beach chair. I'd encourage renting a car or a moped regardless of where you stay in Tulum, but especially if you decide to stay here. Would definitely come back and strongly recommend.

At the casa, the perfect private white sand beach awaits just out the door. Great accommodations and incredible views. I stayed in the main room and as I awoke the incredible sunrise was awaiting. Near great restaurants or if you prefer, as I do, great kitchen to do your own meals. It truly is the perfect getaway.

I had the pleasure of staying here in September and it is everything you could hope for and more from a tropical getaway. The house is gorgeous with an amazing view of the ocean with cool breezes and the sound of the waves lulling me to sleep at night. The house has a spacious porch with a hammock for midafternoon naps! The perfectly maintained beach is only steps away and almost feels private as very little foot traffic passed during my stay. The house is beautifully decorated with a full kitchen and multiple rooms making it perfect for a family outing or trip with friends. Tulum is a short car trip away with its wonderful downtown area and beautiful seaside ruins. I cannot say enough great things about Casa del las Olas!!!!

Exactly what we were looking for! No screaming kids. No elavatores. No parking problems. No waiting in line. No alarm clocks. No sale pitches. No up sales. Just an amazing beautiful place.

My wife and I just returned from our second trip to Casa de Las Olas. It is the definition of paradise. I used to day dream about the exact scenario that we have found there. The beach is perfect, and because its the last property on the Tulum eco-resort strip, we didn't see the usual herds of turists walking by, perhaps only 3 or 4 people the whole 3 days we were there.

We had dinner in the Master sweet which is actually the entire floor level of the house, and it was like a Spanish villa. Incredibly beautiful and an overall excellent atmosphere. Our suite was on the second floor and was great. We had a kitchen, a balcony with a hammock, a small dinning area and a large bathroom. We slept amazingly as to the sound of the waves 40 feet from our window. (super comfortable king size bed... major plus) We ended up staying an unplanned extra night.

We love Tulum and know many of its eco-resorts and cabañas, we prefer and recommend Casa de Las Olas.

It's a long, winding, bumby road that brings you to Casa de las Olas. But the ride is certainly woth it! The beach is as secluded and as pristine as I have seen in all my travels. The house is beautiful and well appointed. Comfortable, spacious and clean. The staff are very helpful and gave us all the best advice about cenotes, ruins, rentals and reataurants. It was a shame to leave and always is (we have been back twice since) great to get to, enjoy and share with the family. HARD TO LEAVE!!! If you are going to Tulum (or anywhere NEAR Tulum, stay here!!) The price is comparable to other hotels in the area but the location (near the preserve and set apart from the rest of the hotels) and serenity cannot be matched. I have been going to Tulum for years and love Casa most of all! Don't tell everyone you know, only those you love about this little piece of heaven in Tulum.
