After investigating several local tour operators for an excursion for our large family group (18 people) during our Christmastime visit to Playa del Carmen, we found Edventure to be far and away the best option. From the beginning, when we were emailing in advance for tour info, Eddie was highly responsive, patient and helpful. When the day came for our excursion, the activities ran like clockwork. (And we were an unwieldy group, requiring 2 vans with different pick up times.) We packed a lot in - tour of Tulum ruins, a tour of dos ojos cenote and snorkeling in the lagoon at akumal. Our tour leader, Enrique, was incredibly charming and handled all of us with kindess and care, with safety being the number one priority. (We had some young children in the group.) And the lunch was a fantastic bonus--an authentic Mexican lunch of pork and chicken tacos at rustic tables under the trees next to the lagoon. Edventure struck just the right balance of providing guidance, but also "giving space" to us. Edventure delivered exactly what they promised...we even returned to our hotel on time. We highly recommend Edventure--very attentive to the needs of clients!

We booked to do a one day tour of Tulum ruins, plus some snorkeling in Dos Ojos cenote, Akumal beach and Yal-ku lagoon. The tour was much better value that those offered by our resort and Daniel was a fantastic host and guide. The home-cooked food for lunch was also fantastic. I would definitely recommend taking a tour with Edventure if you are visiting the area.

We thoroughly enjoyed this snorkel trip. We've snorkeled quite a bit including at the Galapagos and the snorkel through the Dos Ojos cenotes was a first for us. The caverns were fantastic! The lagoon snorkel was okay -- but as we said, we've snorkeled lots of places and the day we went to the lagoon was pretty busy. We'd been to the Tulum ruins 20-some years ago and more areas of the site have been opened up since then. We might have appreciated it more if we had chosen the guided tour option but the site is still pretty fantastic.
We didn't add the turtle bay piece as we were staying on one of the Gran Bahia hotels on Akumal beach and it was just a short cab ride for us. Lunch was terrific - we chose the pork option. Our guide, Enrique, was helpful and very patient with one in our group who'd never snorkeled before. Arranging the tour was also a pleasant experience as Bonnie was very helpful. Eduardo at the front lines was also very helpful and friendly. There were six in our group, a comfortable size. A really good value! We would no doubt use them again!

My family (myself, my husband, our 3 year old and 5 year old, my parents in their late 60s) had an absolutely wonderful day with Edventure Tours. We had three snorkeling visits on our itinerary - Dos Ojos cenote, Akumal beach and Yal-ku lagoon. Each was a wonderfully different snorkeling experience - the clear fresh water of the cenote with beautiful formations, the turtles and rays at the beach, and the amazing tropical fish of the lagoon.

But what really made this day outstanding was the kindness and thoughtfulness of Edward, the owner and Nelson, our guide. Nelson was absolutely wonderful with our two young boys, encouraging them, showing them the marine life and being totally patient - and willing to be treated as a jungle gym! Thank you Nelson.

Edward found out that morning that our youngest was turning three that day, and showed up at the end of the tour with a delicious tres leches birthday cake! We had a lovely moment at the lagoon, sharing the cake and different birthday traditions. Thank you Edward.

My family and I have done lots of travelling over the years and the service and personal touch of this company is second to none. Totally recommended.

Bonnie and Eduardo organized several different tours for our large group down for a wedding weekend in Tulum. We cannot overstate how excellent the service was, how easy to work with, and how much fun our guests had. Two people that did the zipline adventure called it the best day of their lives! Very highly recommended
