We had such a good time snorkelling in the cenote and ATVing through the jungle!

Our guide Ricky was awesome! Such a great sense of humour and super knowledgable. He made sure we had the best time.

Only a couple of hours, which was perfect so not out for too long.

My one recommendation - put some bug spray on for the ATVing. It’s in the jungle and those mosquitos are hungry!

Three generations of my family did the "Mayan Adventure Tour." It was amazing for all of us! We were picked up from the lobby of our hotel and taken to three different spots. First we went to a cenote in the middle of the jungle. There was a diving platform, a zip line and a regular dock to sit on and let the fish nibble your feet. It was so cool. We had free time to do any of those activities or just snorkel around on our own. I have never seen such clear, green water before.

Then we were driven to a cave for more snorkeling. We received a little education about the cave, and then again given time to swim around. It was freezing, but we quickly adjusted. Our guide gave each family a powerful flashlight which helped.

There was a professional photographer at the cenote and the cave. The pictures were great and pretty reasonable, so we bought them during lunch.

After lunch we were driven to a private park with a fresh water inlet to the ocean. It was very protected, calm and clear. So many fish!

Adan was our guide, and he was fabulous. He made sure that any not so confident swimmers in our group stayed with him and his floating ring. He was enthusiastic and informative. All of the equipment was included, and they even had a prescription mask for my daughter who wears glasses. I was shocked and so pleased!

I cannot recommend this tour enough!

We booked a full day excursion at the Moon Palace Resort and it was with Aventuras Mayas. The tour included transportation and entrance to Chichén Itzá, lunch at Hacienda Chukum and swimming at the cenote right at the Hacienda and a visit to Valladolid. The whole tour was very nice, our tour guides Orlando and Alfredo were knowledgeable and fun, it was imposible to get bored. Orlando switched from Spanish to English very easily and explained everything in both languages First we stopped at Chichén Itzá and were there around 2 hours, that's enough time to know about the history, not a lot of time to explore on your own or shop around. Then we went to Hacienda Chukum for lunch, which was a buffet, with options for everyone and food was good. Then we went swimming at the cenote, right at the Hacienda, this was an extraordinary experience, it is so beautiful that we didn't want to leave, sadly we were there less than an hour. They have a small Zipline inside the cenote and platforms to dive into it. Then we visited Valladolid, but were there only 30 minutes, so we couldn't do much. All in all a great tour, with more time at each stopped it would've been even better.

We've been coming to Playa del Carmen for 16 years and this was the best tour/tour company we've ever had. Jesse is by far the BEST GUIDE we ever had and we've had some good ones! Hilarious! If you want to laugh as you learn and explore, take a tour with Jesse as your guide.

We snorkeled Yal Ku, swam the caverns and jumped and zip lined the cenote.

Jesse kept us entertained from the moment he picked us up until the moment he dropped us off. Great guide who is very attentive to all. He is outstanding with children. Our nine year old has a new "best friend".

There is a buffet lunch that is top quality. The past tours we've done offer sandwiches fruit and not much more. With this tour, you get a delicious grilled chicken meal with rice, beans, potatoes, and numerous salsas prepared on site by Mayan ladies right at the caverns. The lunch was delicious.

I would do this tour again in a heartbeat. When I return to Playa, Aventuras Mayas is the company is will use for an excursion. I will request Jesse and hope we get him.

Update: We used Aventuras Mayas again on our latest trip. We requested Jesse since we - especially my 12 year old son - loved him as a guide. I don’t know if it was coincidence or they fulfilled our request because we had Jesse again. Thank you!

Jesse did not disappoint. He’s a great guide who is attentive to all, no matter your experience he’ll make sure you enjoy the tour.

Just came back from a terrific day on the Chichen Itza and Cenote Deluxe Tour. Our guides Ricardo (Ricky Martin) and Luiz were FABULOUS! It was super-hot at Chichen Itza, but Ricky strategically kept stopping in the shady spots to tell us about the history. :) Visiting the cenote (sinkhole) has got to be one of the coolest things I've ever done. (Note: the water is brisk, but you get used to it pretty quickly.) Towels and lockers are supplied. And so is water, and we were given a small complimentary breakfast, plus lunch! We loved it!
