“Amazing staff, extremely clean, wonderful resort.”

My family and I just got back from spending a week at this resort. The staff goes above and beyond to provide excellent service. The food at the market is priced very reasonably and has everything you need. Playa Del Carmen is very close, just a five min drive. I bought week pass to use the gym and was able to use the spa as well. Got the full treatment- jacuzzi, steam room, sauna, robe, all the amenities of a grand spa w/ relaxing sounds and smells. The beach is nice and the staff provides full service on the beach and by the pool. The food at resort is vey good. I ate at different reasterants in town and you can find a variety of places for every budget. Oh! I forgot to mention you can get your clothes cleaned and folded for a little over 5 bucks a load. It was nice not having to come home w/ dirty clothes. Can't say enough good things about this place.

Room Tip: Try to book your excursions at beginning of trip because your going to want to relax at the hotel to...

We go to the Royal Haciendas once or twice a year. It always feels like we are at home. All the staff are courteous and go out of their way to help. The food is great, the spa is outstanding (and their staff), the rooms are spacious and clean.
They set up for all your excursions-GO TO XEL HA...it is an all day, all inclusive natural water park with all the food and drinks you can eat/drink.
My most favorite part of going to Royal Haciendas is when we walk in, call us by name, (because they take the time to know you), and greet us by saying, "welcome home...." because we DO feel at home here. It makes me smile just thinking about it.
Wish we could live here year-long!

Room Tip: Every room has a spectacular view of the ocean and pools, so no worries there....if you need interne...

We have been coming to RH for a the last 6 years and we love this place. Wish we had a beach more like the royal sands but not that big of a deal. The pool is amazing and the bar in the pool is like having your personal mini fridge. Happy hour is great and so are the bartenders. The house keepers were diligent and the rooms were always pristine and spotless. We did have an issue however with the wet floor around the hotel. I'm 28 and pretty agile, however a walk from the pool to the bathroom was like ice- skating. The tile everywhere in this hotel is slick and has no texture- so you can imagine how upsetting it is to find your 60 year old mother had slipped and fallen and hit her head and back and required stitches! The staff here was quick and attentive but this incident ruined our plans for the week. We had to change our plans for visiting Xel-ha and Xplor. Love this resort but would like to see some changes to avoid some slips and falls.

We just returned from an 11 day stay at the Royal Haciendas. It was our second visit, and our first time as owners. We had a fantastic time! The resort is maintained beautifully. From check in to check out, everything was wonderful. We used Thomas More for our trips to the resort and back to the airport. The drivers are courteous and friendly, and right on time. Since we arrived on a Wednesday, the airport experience was great, no crowds at all. Check in was a breeze, and we were poolside in no time. Our concierge, Alan, took great care of us, and took the time to speak with us every day. The food choices on the resort are somewhat limited, but overall the food is good. We had lunch poolside almost every day, usually a wrap or fish tacos, really good. We went to the Los Murales restaurant twice, and had great meals prepared table side. All the resort staff, to a person, are very friendly and helpful. My wife and I also had a massage at the spa, and it was great. I also want to mention my great experience with Dive Balam, located at the Royal Haciendas. They are a first rate dive center, very professional, and the reefs off Cozumel are spectacular. My wife and I cannot wait to get back to the Royal Haciendas in November.

We love the Haciendas so much that we stayed for two weeks ths year. It was not a disappointment. From start to finish, all our experiences at the Haciendas were wonderful. All the restaurants were excellent, particularly Los Murales. At Los Murales you can experience delicious meals cooked st your table. We had the best Ceasar salad in the world there. The mixed ceviche at the Palapa was an appetizer but was so large that I ate it as my main course : YUM!!!our villa was absolutely beautifully appointed. I'd love to have that shower in the master bedroom in my own house ! All the villas have a view of the Caribbean Sea. The waves are not rough because the shore is sheltered by Cozumel. The six night a week free shuttle makes it very convenient to hop into Playa del Carmen for dinner. The employees are such courteous, friendly hard workers. They voluntarily spend an hour of unpaid time cleaning the seaweed off the beach to make it nicer for us visitors. LOVE the Royal Haciendas !!!!

Laundry room with attendant is very nice - I usually like to go when they first open and pick up later that night- also good idea not to go the day before your leaving and need to pack. Waiters are so nice and attentive in La Palapa. The resort does however need to work on their internet service. If weather permits you can also go kayaking-- single or doubles available. The times I have been to this resort the crowd is that of a family resort- even during spring break ( nothing crazy) probably because its 50 miles or so from Cancun and no real night life -- mainly just sun and beach ! You can order groceries in advance from the royal resort store and when you arrive it is waiting for you inside your room---( ie water, beer ,milk, eggs, bacon ..in the refrigerator and the sugar, coffee in cupboards ... ( at least mine was)

Room Tip: Try and get a beach front villa ( there are not very many) view is beach and ocean-- lovely...

Have been a time share owner in various Royal Resorts, all of them are excellent, not unlike this one. What is different is the location (not Cancun proper) (a plus), a different (tasteless) architectural concept (a strong minus) combined with a different landscaping concept (less vegetation, more concrete) (also a minus), and the proximity of nature reservations and parks. Restaurant quite expensive, palapa mediocre, excellent poolside snacks and sandwiches. Do not buy Thomas Moore or any other transportation ahead of time: much more expensive and less comfortable than taking a taxi from the airport.

Room Tip: Building C, top floor: quiet, great view
