If your looking for something other than the typical thin crust pizza that you find in Playa, this is the place! Stopped in for a later snack and ordered the meatball pizza (don't be put off by the word 'gravy' on the menu, they mean tomato sauce) As a 'gringo' it's more like the pizza we get back home in Canada or the US. The outer crust is crisp but thick and soft in the middle with lots of cheese that strings out when you remove a piece and trails to your plate....unheard of in every other place in playa that we've tried before. Lots of tasty tomato sauce and very flavourful meatballs to top. An extra added surprise was to find the server was Jimmy, an old amigo that we got to know over the past couple of years from a former favourite restaurant down near 5th ave. Jimmy gives great service and speaks very good English and is obviously a lot more happy and content in his new surroundings. He also informed us that they will deliver to your condo or hotel. Russell, the owner makes a point to welcome you and chat with the guests and makes sure that everything is satisfactory. A nice touch that he's always been known for. (Also worked at the 'other' restaurant with Jimmy) A little off the beaten path up on 30th ave but still only a short walk in a very safe area, only a couple of blocks north of Mega, on the east side of the road. Small, quaint, not fancy, but very clean and lots of fans to keep you comfortable. Priced right, and we even were given bread with herbed oil and balsamic to start. Where do you get that when you order pizza? Because it is 'deep dish' it takes a couple minutes longer, so the bread is a smart extra touch. This is now our only 'go to' place for pizza in Playa. Can't wait to try the rest of the menu. The pasta and meatballs look awesome!
