People watching and shopping paradise here! Lots of fun and colorful---don't miss it.
I did not like the constant pressure from vendors, so I ignored them!

Thank Lillimarie

A lot of shops and restaurants. Got ice cream at a chain ice cream store and they messed up my order like 3 times... Beach and the main plaza where the church is was awesome. Great view of the beach.

Good for souvenir shopping, but does get a bit samey after a while.
Lots of hassle and some shops require a bit of haggling.

I live in Playa and for me the best way to walk the 5th avenue is by wearing a uniform... So nobody bothers me. Otherwise people will offer everything from sombreros to even drugs or invite you in the restaurants. Other than the fact it is too touristy it still has a lot to offer:
- nice food and very cool restaurants and bars
- art galleries
- interesting shopping opportunities

It is worth a strall if you are around, but stay away from it if you want to save money:)

La Parilla, my favorite restaurant on 5th Ave. Lots of shopping and bargaining, smile and say no thank you!
