This restaurant is 20 feet off of 5th avenue so no tourists come here, but they serve amazing tacos and tortas in the traditional Yucatan style. Worth checking out if you're in the area

How could they do this...and why??? I took a friend to La Exquisita this week as I was raving about their burritos. When we ordered we were told that they no longer make them. BIG MISTAKE! I will only return if they put them back on the menu. Without the burritos this restaurant is only average.

Very simple food that mostly involves 3 ingredients with not much oomph or taste. The food was not terrible but was not super tasty either. Portions are very small so it may sound like they are good deals but they are not. The drinks are good but not cheap either e.g. 25 pesos for a small bottled orchata is not anything to kill for.

The benign food is at least not revolting like some of the other restaurants raved on Tripadvisor (El Cuevo del Chango and 100% natural have terrible food). I would not go out of my way to go there again. The ambiance is a parking lot basically. We found much better food and beach front views at fusion cafe near 8th st and the water.

I must say we were let down by a lot of places raved on TripAdvisor and a good portion of our time in Playa was wasted going to these supposedly top places.

We went for dinner one evening, and were very impressed with the obvious love the owners have for their menu. We tried each of the taco's as well as a burrito (which was a special that evening). Each was delicious in a different way, and the prices were great. Also we tried the Horchata which we found delicious. We'll be back....

The dishes are covered by plastic bags so they don't have to wash them- instead they change the plastic bags
Nuff said
