This was my second stay with La Pasion. This is a great place to stay - great location, outstanding staff, awesome breakfasts, clean rooms, cute pools, etc. I plan to return to this beautiful hotel. I especially enjoy the charm of the smaller hotels.

Room Tip: I especially like the rooms facing the pools.

This was our first time staying in Playa and we were more than impressed with this hotel. The staff were very friendly, genuinely excited about making your stay the best possible and made excellent suggestions of things to do during our 6 night stay. There is two great restaurants on the property that were convenient for a delicious and affordable meal. The guys at the front desk sent us directly down the street to Zenzi Beach Bar and Restaurant with a 10% off coupon. Look no further for a perfect beach to enjoy playa. Free cabanas, great service and awesome people just 3 blocks from the hotel. The location of La Passion is perfect. It is just a few minutes walk from the beach, half a block from walmart, and far enough away from the clubs that you can get some sleep with out constant bass ringing your ears from 5th ave. The WIFI worked well and the AC and ceiling fan kept our room very comfortable. I can't say enough good things about the staff and the overall expeince they help to create. We will be returning and would recommend this hotel to anyone.

Room Tip: Stayed in a garden view room and the 3rd floor. The view of the lush garden and pools on the interi...

We had a room overlooking the park which was comfortable with a huge bed and a very small but functional balcony which was good to use when in the shade. The staff were friendly and helpful and there were two small but pleasant swimming pools at the back. There was free coffee available in the lobby and a free computer for use by guests. Possibly the best thing about the hotel was the breakfast which was served by two great guys - easily the happiest and most friendly servers we have had in years. The food was great and freshly cooked and the atmosphere very laid back. If I had any small quibbles it would be the fact that the rate was quoted online in dollars but translated to Pesos by the hotel at an unreal rate of 13.50 which effectively made it about 8% more expensive. Also there seemed to be a ceremony in the square some mornings which was a little loud. Otherwise it was very quiet considering how close it was to the main streets of the town. Good location and pleasant surroundings. We would stay there again.

Room Tip: Away from the front of the hotel if you want to lie in in the morning.

This hotel is a little gem! Rooms are spacious and clean - pool area is perfect to just chill out.

Location couldn't be better - a few minutes to 5th Avenue and the beach but far enough away to not be kept up all night.

Staff are friendly and helpful and can organise tours etc for you.

Great breakfast to get the day started.

My girlfriend and I tayed here for a few nights of luxury as part of our trip through central America.

The Hotel is brilliantly clean, rooms are nicely decorated, clean and airy. Beds are fantastic and bathrooms well equipped and spotless.

The facilities, with a pool, jacuzzi, sun loungers and use of the hotel computer were excellent, exactly what we needed during a hot day.
Staff are really friendly, with useful advice given about places to eat, tourist attractions and catching buses from the Playa del carmen bus stations.

Location is 5-10 minute walk from the main shopping street, 5 minutes from Walmart and a short walk to the bus station.

I cannot fault the hotel, my girlfriend and I had a great experience here, the hotel is at the top of the list if we return to Playa.

Excellent hotel, new, clean, stylish spaces; great and nice people, always smiling and helpful guys. Perfect location, in a walking distance from the main shopping street but far enough from the noisy and the mess of that. Good breakfast including fresh tropical fruit, coffee, juice, and omelette. Swimming pools and small green sunbeds area with a hot Jacuzzi where we spent each night at least 20 minutes...superb! I would recommend this place to everybody!

Room Tip: We had a swimming pool view upstairs room, silent and very nice

We were very happy to stay for a couple of days at La Pasion which, brilliantly, is just a couple of minutes walk from the ADO station where we were able to get a coach to Valladolid. Upon arrival we were greeted with a warm welcome and staff were friendly throughout. We had a comfortable stay and enjoyed the small attentions to detail that could be found around the hotel - especially the use of the glass and wooden heart charms that are the logo of this hotel. Breakfast time runs smoothly: a choice of tea/coffee, a plate of fruit, juice and then one choice from a menu (eggs in various guises, fruit & yoghurt) - certainly enough to start your day. Just a point to note, if you are a keen swimmer like me don't expect to be swimming your morning laps, the two pools don't link and are more there for dipping in and out and cooling off. Our leaving gift, a wooden heart key ring, was certainly a very thoughtful touch - thank you all at La Pasion.
