Hacienda Paradise Boutique Hotel by Xperience Hotels

Reviewed November 7, 2012

Reviewed November 6, 2012 NEW Stayed for 3 nights (Oct.15-18) while looking for investment property. The hotel is situated in a very convenient location (1 block to 5th Avenue-the main pedestrian and shopping area) and 2.5 blocks to the closest beach. We had arranged private transfer serivce in advance through the hotel website which we highly recommend.
The property itself is small and very well maintained with a quiet pool area located in the center. Rooms are extremely clean and well kept by the efficient and friendly room staff. We had a very quiet room (#1) at the end of the hallway facing 22nd street ( the more quiet of the 2 streets the hotel is located on). Large comfortable King sized bed, excellent A/C and fans and a marble bath with very large shower round out the room details. A musty odor persists, but remember you are in subtropical Mexico. Ony 2 small negatives with regards to the room-no A/C in the bathroom, which can make it quite warm and the TV offered no English language news channels, not even CNN International.
The true "gems" of the hotel are its's staff, Everyone we encountered was more than willing to go out of their way to assist and be helpful in anyway possible. From our first encounter with Martha at the front desk, to our daily breakfasts with Christian, it was like visiting with old friends. The hotel is very fortunate to have such an exceptional staff, especially the 2 mentioned.
Breakfast was included in our rate and we throughly enjoyed staritng our day under the palapa by the pool. Hot and cold entrees, fresh fruit, muffins, toast and cereals rounded out the menu. Excellent Mexican coffee!!!!
The hotel has reciprocal agreements with several beach clubs nearby. This allows you entrance to the club, reserved chairs and umbrella. towels are graciously provided by the hotel. We took advantage of Mosquito Beach Club and loved it!!! Make sure you do it at least one of your days in Playa.
Day trips can be arranged through the concierge near the front desk.
Not much more can be said except "Thank You" for making our stay in Playa so memorable. We will definately return.

Room Tip: “Rooms on 2nd floor are probably a little more quiet. Try to choose a room on 22 St. rather than 10t...

We could not be more happy with this hotel. The staff is excellent. It's in a perfect location from everything. We loved it so much we already booked another stay! The breakfast is cheap, delicious and casual. I gat a massage from their masseuse and it was amazing.

Room Tip: Ask for second floor across from the kitchen. great sun in the afternoon and quiet

We had a buy 2 get 1 night free deal with this hotel, so it was really a great price. We chose the standard room, the cheapest room, which was kind of tucked away in the back of the hotel, over the restaurant area. These rooms have no balcony, so it might be worth paying for the next room level up with a balcony over the pool.
The room was very nice - very clean, modern furniture, comfortable mattress, minibar fridge, cable TV, great shampoos and soaps in the bathroom made from Mayan honey. We had great Wifi reception and it was a very fast connect. I also like how you are encouraged to refill your water bottles in the lobby.
The hotel is in a great location as well, a block back from 5th avenue. There is no parking, but you can park on the street right out front.
The breakfast was not included in our room, but it was only five dollars at the reception, and they also give you one buy one, get one free coupon for the first day. it's a small but decent buffet.

My only complaints - the pillows! They were hard and lumpy and not comfortable. They need to get new pillows.

Also, it was a little noisy having our room over the kitchen - you could hear them in the morning making breakfast. But it wasn't that bad.

Def would stay here again.

Room Tip: I would try to get a room with a balcony. The cheapest rooms have just a window.

We could not agree more with all the other reviews of this hotel. Excellent location, one block off of 5th and about three from the beach, etremely nice and quite. Staff is excellent. The hotel and the rooms are exceptionally clean. The towel art is adorable !! Loved the shower, the water pressure and the water temperature where amazing !! Great sheets and bedding. Very fast wifi and a nice selection of english tv channels, and a nice balcony to hang out on !! A few negatives, the breakfast buffet is ok, their are so many options of where to dine in Playa, I would not eat here every morning. The pool is quaint, overly refreshing, and is needs a little repair and we where not thrilled about the rocks around the pool. In your room you can not adjust your air conditioning temperature, so the room was often too cold or too hot. This resort is excellent we would defiantly recommend and return, this Is also are second wonderful experience with Experince Resorts and we will continue to stay at there resorts.

Although we had planned to stay 7 nights and had to left earlier because of a hurricane, we had an excellent experience at Hacienda. The staff was very, very pleasant, supportive, and professional. The staff made us a list of great places to visit.

Hacienda hotel is very good looking, quiet, and close to the beach, the 5th avenue, and ...even the walmart!
