If you want something basic just for rest after a long day this small hotel is the option, the price is according to the facilities, the location is not bad at all is located 8 minutes from the 5th avenue (walk time), and the breakfast is very basic but good!

Stayed: February 2014

A little overpriced but clean new looking rooms with great front counter staff made my stay here pleasant BUT as most American breakfast are normally very ordinary this breakfast was great lots to choose from IF you get there early, if you go to breakfast late you may struggle. Overall very surprised at the small but very clean very well run hotel

Room Tip: Must go top floor other wise very noisy tiles in all rooms above you

I am staying in this hotel for an extended business trip. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The staff here are very helpful with any questions or small problems, there is free wifi in the rooms and public areas. Hairdryers and irons are available from reception if needed.
The breakfast, although self service with paper plates is sufficient, including coffee, tea, orange juice, yoghurts, ham, lettuce, fresh fruits, Danish pastries, pancakes and sliced bread. A good start to the day (albeit very busy some mornings).

The hotel is on the main highway but set back from the road so traffic noise is not a problem. There are several eating options nearby at shopping malls, along the highway or a 5 minute drive to 5th avenue where there is a lot of choice for bars, restaurants and shopping.

There are numerous eateries that will deliver to the hotel, Dominos, Ta Camaron, Hong Kong Chinese, Hot Bakery and probably many more.

the hotel has a lot of parking spaces which is free of charge, a small gym and a pleasant pool area.

Definitely would stay here again.

We stayed for one night only in Playa Del Carmen and had booked a room at City Express throught Expedia for about 50$.

We expected very little but were highly suprised at the facility. Everything was squeaky clean and looked new, like 2013 new.

Staff was billangual and very nice, wifi worked flawlessly. The hotel is located 6$(taxi) away from the heart of Playa Del Carmen's bar and restaurant scene. Only dissapointement was the breakfast buffet but.....you cant have everything.

Nice, clean, good customer service. Conveniently located right off the highway, near a lot of shops and restaurants. The location was busy enough that we felt safe in the evening. It's also not far (driving) from a lot of attractions like Xel-ha. According to the signs there is a beach nearby, probably not walking distance though, or it might just be a long walk.
