The food was nice enough and reasonably priced. Good wine list but a bit pricey. Service was great and a perfect view of Fifth Avenue.

Very nice place to eat. Ambiance is really good. Had the lobster and tuna. It's a bit more relaxing then other restaurants because it's one level higher.

We visited the Madre Tierra during a recent 2 week holiday to Mexico. The service is excellent, the cocktails are tall and strong, the steak was (new york strip) cooked exactly how i ordered it. Value for money was ok, it worked out to arounf £57 for the 2 of us. That included 2 cocktails, 2 starters, 2 new york strip steaks, 1 side, 2 spirit based drinks and a bottle of water. Yes we got charged £2 for a bottle of water. I think thats a bit harsh considering what we had spent on food and drinks, specially when you can buy bottles of water for about 25p from most shops. Another slight annoyance was the restaurant let in people who take your photo at the table, and then re-appear a few minutes later with a photo frame or a bottle of beer with the picture on, and then proceed to try and pressure you into buying it. I expect this a middle to low end food places in Playa Del Carmen, but not at a high end one where a a meal for 2 has just cost nearly £60.

We stopped here for my husbands birthday dinner. We really weren't sure what to thinking from just looking at it from the street. We were pleasantly surprised. Atmosphere, food, service turned out to be great. Would recommend!

My friend and I dined here on the last night of our holiday in Mexico. The food was very good, tasty and reasonably priced (compared to what you'd pay for the same meal/service/atmosphere in the UK). The staff were also very friendly and polite.
