Our first night in Playa, we decided we wanted to find this fish taco hut that we read about, but after about 30 minutes of searching, I gave up as I was starving. We walked off the beaten path a bit and found this little hut with one person and a small family of four locals. We ordered a Playero Burro, Pollo Burro, Cheluta Taco, and a Playero Taco, one fanta and one iced tea between the two of us for just 160 pesos. The ingredients were very fresh and the burros were made really well. I especially liked how they placed the burro on the hot plate a little longer to heat it up and make the bottom just slightly crispy. The place practiced good food safety, the sauces (3 of them to speak of, the corriander, habenero, and chipotle) were placed in the fridge when not being used and all the stuffings were covered and kept hot. And the burro maker, Eduardo was super friendly which added to the ambience. For a place that we just happened upon, it lived up to my expectations of finding something the locals like with great food and great prices.
