Virginia and her team are first class, their knowledge and history of the area was an added bonus. Would highly recommend them for a personal tour of the Tulum Ruins, the cenotes and most of all the Whale Sharks.

Virginia is amazing. She is so friendly and very knowledgeable. She picked us (party of 14) up at the Villa at 6:15 with a very nice air conditioned bus just for us. She brought homemade muffins, cookies, fruit, coffee and ice cold water and sodas. She was able to get us into the ruins at 6:30 a.m. so we had the ruins all to ourselves (they open for the public st 8:00 a.m.). She gave us a tour of the amazing ruins and taught us so much history. She also taught us about the wildlife and all the different trees and plants. After the ruins, she gave us free time to shop, She was a wonderful guide, full of knowledge and a bubbly personality. She was also very good with the younger children. She also knew all the perfect places to take photos and was more than happy to take many group photos for us. Our bus and our terrific driver were waiting to drive us back to the Villa. I highly recommend that you book your tour with Virginia!!

If you have swimming with Whale Sharks on your bucket list, Virginia and Riviera Adventours is a sure bet! This was our second trip with RA and it is a first class operation. Virginia is a lovely and gracious hostess, and always has a wonderful staff assembled. Plan on a full day; RA picks you up at your location and takes care of all the logistics. Your captain and guide will take you out to sea and find Whale Sharks; we also saw Manta Rays. Snacks and beverages are provided as well a wonderful ceviche and fajitas lunch in the shallow waters off Isla Mujares. Virginia is full of knowledge not only with respect to Whale Sharks, but the Yucatan Peninsuala in general. Riviera Adventours is top knotch and so is Virginia's restaurant, Oscar & Lalo, named in honor of her Father and Uncle. Take any Riveria Adventour trip. It will be an experience you won't forget! [Be sure to follow Virginia's sea-sickness avoidance advice. It works!]

Myself and my husband went on the Whale Shark and snorkel tour at the beginning of September and it is one of the best things we have ever done!

Virginia and her whole team are great, they all know exactly what they are doing and are all very experienced. Communication before, during and after the tour was also excellent.

We saw loads of whale sharks and manta rays and swam very close to the sharks. There was always a guide in the water, so we felt very safe.

Virginia gave great instructions on how to swim next to the sharks and this meant that we made the most of each swim and were able to get very close and swim next to them for as long as possible.

We also took the picture package and they sent us lots of great photos, both above and under the water.

If you have any doubts about this tour, don't think twice - it is amazing.

This tour is a must while you're in Tulum! We did the Extreme Tulum Expedition and it was the highlight of our trip. Our tour guide, Sergio and driver, Julio were both wonderful- extremely knowable and so fun to talk too. They picked us up early from our hotel (around 6:45 am) and our first stop was the Tulum Ruins which were not open to the public yet so we had the whole place to ourselves. It was amazing to walk around and learn about the ruins without any other tourists. Then snorkeling, zip lining, and kayaking were all such a blast. We finished the day with lunch which was so delicious! There were only 3 of us in our group and no other group joined us so it was like a private tour. A great value for all that is included. Highly recommend!!!

Our group was fortunate to have booked a tour with Virginia and staff during our July trip to the Riviera Maya area. Virginia worked with my husband prior to our arrival to schedule all things we had hoped to do. She custom made a tour for our group of 7 for the day we selected. She told us everything we needed to bring for a comfortable day. From the moment they picked us up at our resort, we knew we had made the right choice of company. Their van was clean and air conditioned. We were served fresh juice and home made muffins. We met Virginia and our guide, Cesar and were off to start our adventure. We started by snorkeling in the mangrove forest. Virginia had wonderful equipment and talked to us about safety in the water. She made sure all our equipment was fitted properly and that we were comfortable in the water. It is obvious how much she loves her Mexican heritage and taught us a lot about the fora and fauna. We went from the mangrove forest to the ocean and snorkeled the reef. Virginia showed us various fish, sea life and coral. She talked to us about being responsible snorkelers and not doing anything to damage the reef. We even saw some endangered coral. From there we went to the Tankah Nature Park. We dropped from a zipline into the Cenote, did the multiple ziplines, canoed in the rainforest and snorkeled in the Blue Cenote. All equipment was top notch and there was no waiting. It was like we had the place to ourselves! From there we went to the infamous restaurant, Oscar and Lalo's. Virginia's family has owned this authentic Mexican restaurant for years. It was a fabulous feast in their beautiful outdoor gardens. It was by far the best meal we had on our trip. From there we put on wet suits and Virginia herself took us to snorkel the underground river system and bat caves. We again, were the only ones there, and enjoyed this amazing natural wonder. snorkeling through the caves with stalactites and stalagmites with our flashlights as the only light in some areas. It was amazing! Our last stop was the Tulum ruins at sunset. Our private tour was awesome and the views stunning. We can't thank Virginia enough for this amazing memorable day. She also was so conscious to teach us about respecting the areas that we visited (other tours we went on certainly did not!) We will be back next time we are in the area!

We can not recommend highly enough Virginia & Riviera Adventours for giving us the experience of a lifetime when snorkelling with Whale Sharks. From the moment we booked we had excellent communication & information & we were collect (on time) from our hotel to drive to the Boat. We were fed & watered with food to avoid sea sickness and dramamine provided too just incase, which must have done the job as I suffer horrifically from sea sickness but didn't once feel ill on this trip despite the sea being quite rough on the day we dived.
Virginia & Nay who dived with us were amazing - we have 3 children aged 10, 12 & 14 and had been worried about how they would manage as they were apprehensive, but there was no need. My youngest was pulled through the water by Nay (swimming like superman flies) right along side the whale sharks, so she was able to look these beautiful creatures right in the eye. We had several massive Manta Rays swim right below us and were able to catch all of this amazing footage on a go pro so we can watch it at home.
We all got to dive 3 times with the whale Sharks then we were taking to the most amazing coral reef where we snorkelled more and were fed a dinner of ceviche & fajitas.
A truly amazing day that none of us will ever forget - thank you xx

Such a great tour! We did and saw it all! Virginia and her team took care of us and made sure we saw as much of the ruins as we wanted, snorkeled for as long as we wanted and much more! Crystal clear water in the cenote, I was blown away! The food was top notch, from the snacks to the lunch at the restaurant! Virginia’s story of her family made it feel so personal! We will visit her restaurant again and will go to her for any other tours in the future.

Took my family of 5 today on the tour and our guide Caesar was amazing. I am not one to write reviews but this was THE best customer experience we have ever had. The knowledge that this young man has is astonishing and really gets you ready for the excursion. Definitely would recommend to anyone. Virginia was extremely helpful setting everything up also.
Oh yea... the whales excursion was amazing also.
