My family and I went here for christmas dinner and the experience just left a bad taste in our mouths and it wasnt the food, it was the service. We were sat after waiting 5 minutes, but then once sat the waiter did not come over for 22 minutes(yes we timed it). Then when he did come over he only said, "you ready". We struggled to get anyone to refill our drinks, bring napkins to our table and bring us spoons with our soups. We understand things can get hectic in restaurants since we have all worked in the industry but the restaurant was not even busy. We never complained and were very polite throughout the dinner. Although we were not dissappointed with the food, the service was awful and the worst was when we were leaving our little waiter who ignored us all night ran after us in the middle of thw restaurant to swindle more money from us. He said we did our US dollar conversion wrong and didnt leave him a tip. My father being the nice, naive man that he is beleived the waiter and gave him more money. Later when we reviewed the bill we came to realize that he left the waiter a 50% tip. I could get over the bad service but not people who scam others especially on xmas. BEWARE!!

Went in December, ate early (630) as had a 2.5 yr old daughter back at the resort with the in laws so was fairly empty. Service was high-end, similar to a middle/high end NYC restaurant. Food quality is great, but prices are fairly high for the area.. I think we came out around $175 for 2 people with wine.. nice outdoor balcony area overlooking the street scene below, also a good chocolate store across the street.

We loved this Mayan restaurant, located upstairs on 5th and 38th. Look up or you'll never see it. WE sat out on the ouside deck, but the inside was very nice as well. Our waiter made great recommendations including chicken tinga, chipotle scallops, duck mole, salmon with a sauce verde and risottyo as well as a delicious pumpkin flower goat cheese cheesecake with corn ice cream (sounds weird, but tasted great). Every bite of the meal was delicious, the service was spot on and it was our favorite meal of the week.

Located out of the core on Playa's 5th Avenue, Luna Maya provides an unexpected fine dining experience. The restaurant is located on the second floor so is also somewhat difficult to find, but sitting on the terrace outside enjoying the cool night air makes for a memorable dining experience. The service staff are very attentive and helpful. The food is amazing. The soups are wonderfully prepared and presented in a bowl with the beef or crab meat separately from the broth which makes for great soup. The main courses were all beautifully plated and the quality was outstanding. Great dining experience at a fair price.

We had our rehearsal dinner here and they did an excellent job. Food was delicious, service was excellent, and they take credit cards!! I highly recommend this place.
