“Romantic, great service.”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 28, 2013 via mobile

Service and atmosphere were unbeatable. The food that was recommended by our waiter was excellent. The few items we ordered that were not specifically recommended were good but not great. It was so much fun to sit outside on 5th Ave and watch the people walking by and the chef making homemade ravioli. Fresh baked bread was wonderful!

“Spectacular Last Supper in Playa”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 22, 2013 via mobile

We eat here on each of our annual visits, and this year made it the final night of a seven-day stay on Riviera Maya. It was by far the high-light of our culinary week. Impeccable and authentic Italian food. Though they were out of their highly-touted Burata, two other Caprese-type salads featured great Mozzarela, cherry tomatoes and Balsamic vinegar. Entrees for our party of eight (plus two sleeping nine-month olds) included lasagna, "green hats", fettuccine bolognese, and seafood skewers- all as good as I've ever tasted (we all "taste-tested" everything. Drinks were good, the service and presentation were charming and imaginative (without being forced). The setting was beautiful. Since the restaurant is on a quieter stretch of 5th Ave, you could almost feel like you were eating in Firenza. My easy choice for the best "fine dining" experience in Playa.

“Best meal of our trip!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 21, 2013

This was by far the best meal of our two week vacation and we are very picky! I had the Northern Italian lasagna, with a white sauce, and my husband had the spaghetti with white clam sauce. We also shared a caprese salad and it was delicious and fresh. The tomatoes were actually very ripe and tasty. Service was great and they were very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend this restaurant on 5th!

“Great pasta, great service”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 16, 2013

You will walk down 5th avenue and watch the guys make the pasta right in front of you. That lures you in. The restaurant is very attractive and it stands out amongst all of the Italian restaurants on the strip. You may open the menu and say wow that's expensive pasta, but do me a favor and don't look at prices because the food is well worth it. We started with beef carpaccio and a bottle of Malbec and it was wonderful. They have nice, warm bread with this cheese spread, mmmmm so good. We had the green hats and a ravioli special for dinner. My husband and I split our food because they were both outstanding. I am an Italian and this pasta melted in your mouth. This is the real deal, nothing is coming out a bag or jar. We had the tiramisu for dessert and it was the best I have ever had, sorry mom. The servers were on point and the manager made himself very visible. I loved this place!

“Very good Italian food”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed March 14, 2013 via mobile

This smart-looking Italian restaurant faces onto the main street of Playa, so you can watch the world go by as you dine. They make their own pasta and you can see the cook in action doing this in front of the restaurant. We thought everything was excellent quality, including the bread and the salad. I had a delicious home-made lasagne and my partner had fetuccini with lobster tail in a garlic, wine and tomato sauce. The wine-list had a good selection from around the world at a range of prices. The desserts were good too. I rarely enjoy tiramisu these days, but this was very good, as was the pannacotta with summer fruits. The service was helpful and attentive. It wasn't cheap, coming in a bit under 1800 pesos including tip.
