Description: The popular Cozumel Restaurants Casa Mission, La Mission and Parilla Mission have brought their concept to Playa del Carmen. La Mission offers generous portions of seafood, steaks and Mexican specialities at affordable prices. And their "If you don't like it, you don't pay it" slogan is hard to beat. Proof of this is the preference of locals and visitors.

“Excellent seafood”
Reviewed May 11, 2014 via mobile

The grilled shrimp was amazing. I lived on the Gulf of Mexico in west Florida for 25 years and never had shrimp that were that large and that fresh. They were absolutely delicious. It pains me to say it, but they were better than the shrimp I used to get back home from the famous Joe Patti's in Pensacola. I would not skip on this restaurant. They also have much cheaper prices than on 5th ave. Stop by and check them out.

“A gem in the search for PDC seafood”
Reviewed May 10, 2014

We had a family group of 7 and had an absolutely wonderful experience. The service was friendly and top-notch. The ambiance of the restaurant is pleasing and the food was some of the best seafood we've ever eaten...all for a very reasonable price. The lime soup appy was delicious. The portions were immense (4/7 of our group could not finish the meal) and the taste/temperature was outstanding. Our immediate family of 4 ate for under $100 USD including drinks and and an appy.

“Nothing to rave about”
Reviewed May 10, 2014

I don't agree with all the positive review. I tried it twice and it's bland food in kitschy ambiance and high prices (for simple Mexican food). Waiters are trying too hard to sell you, which invariably annoys me. To me this is a tourist restaurant with OK food, but certainly nothing to rave about.

“Great lobster meal”
Reviewed May 6, 2014

We saw the lobster display while walking past, and had to try it. The meal comes with a lime soup starter that was great. The lobster is 250gm and while the visual appearance was unusual, the flavour was awesome. The dessert was ok. However all in all this was outstanding value meal, as the lobster was $23.00

There is an outdoor courtyard, but it was not being used in the evening, however it was very pretty to look at, and we were seated alongside it.

“Great lime soup?”
Reviewed May 4, 2014

Ate here twice during our week in Playa. Loved the soup that came with our meal. Best guacamole that we had all week and we loved our waiter! Had steak and lobster for $24 usd. It was awesome! 7 in our group and each time we ate there everyone loved their meal.
