Description: The popular Cozumel Restaurants Casa Mission, La Mission and Parilla Mission have brought their concept to Playa del Carmen. La Mission offers generous portions of seafood, steaks and Mexican specialities at affordable prices. And their "If you don't like it, you don't pay it" slogan is hard to beat. Proof of this is the preference of locals and visitors.

“Great food and service at a bargain price.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed November 3, 2013

Just two streets away from the famous fifht avenue, you get great food for a split part of the price ypu would have to pay there. The waiters are helpful and professional, we had fish, steak and the mixed mexican specialties and all wer delicious.

“Get your butt off of high priced 5th Ave, and GO HERE! You won't regret it.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2013

La Mission is absolutely fabulous for the price and food quanity and flavor in general. We honeymooned in Playa and tried several places where we left disappointed, but this was NOT one of them. For $20-$25 you get a HUGE entree (I'd go for the lobster if I were you...), your entree comes with a baked potato with sour cream and butter, and a side of seasoned cooked veggies. After you order, they bring you chips/guac/and pico (included with your order), and then they bring you the most amazing Lime Soup EVER. It's so tasty that we are going to try and make it back home. Again, soup included with your entree! So don't make the mistake we did of ordering an appetizer -- it's so not necessary with the portions and what they give you ahead of time.

Flan is also included in your entree price.

The servers are attentive and actually care that you are there -- they don't make you wait the "Mexican Minute" in the words of our server. :) Drinks are higher quality liquor brands. Cute and clean place & lobster for $23 with all of the above things they bring you -- WELL worth it and we didn't find anything even close in quality.

It's a little harder to find but go one block north of 5th and Juarez, and turn RIGHT. It's between Calle 1 and 2 I believe......

We went there twice because we liked it so much, and it was my birthday on our second visit and the server treated us to a "Sexy Coffee" presentation where they light a lot of things on fire with the lights off in the restaurant. Haha, sounds funny, give it a try though! It's a fun thing to see.

“Great Place to eat!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed October 25, 2013

We found about this restaurant in the AAA tour book. We went to check it out. It was small and no AC so we weren't sure we would go in. But the the Manager came out to talk to us ans we looked over the menu and the prices were very reasonable so we decide to give it a try. We asked for a table next to a large fan, which did a nice job of keeping all 6 of us cool. We could not believe how delicious the food was! The Lime Chicken Soup is the best I have had in a long time. The service was great. The food was very good!
