“Perfect hidden treasure”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 26, 2013 via mobile

Thanks for tripadvisor, we found this gem of a restaurant. Christopher the GM takes pride in ensuring his customers have a happy, unique and delicious experience. We were a party of 9; inc grandparents and a 2 yr old. They sat us in the back patio underneath the palapa by the hotel pool. It was perfect. We had the Christmas Eve dinner which was a 4 course meal for $30!! Inc wine. Each dish was perfection. Something out of the foodtv shows. Would highly recommend.

“Great food, even better staff.”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 16, 2013

Playa has a lot of great restaurants and this is one of my favorites! The food is fantastic and you won't find better service in Playa..I promise! I come back over and over and can't wait until my next trip so that I can enjoy another one of Jorge's cocktails!

Breakfast recommendations:
Omelette with bacon and all of the vegetables
Aventura Mexicana

Lunch recommendations:
Shrimp and Bacon Quesadilla
Crab Tostadas
Mayan Burger

Dinner recommendations:
Cream of Celery Soup - do it, I swear, you won't regret!
Arracherra
Seascape Pasta

Also, if you're a wine drinker, their house white is very tasty on a warm night. Nicholas, Gabby, and Jorge will take good care of you…also, Nicholas was very good at recommending tasty dishes.

“Underwhelming ”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 14, 2013 via mobile

Based upon the high ranking and glowing reviews was expecting something reasonably memorable - and it delivered on that front, just maybe not for the right reasons.
Exciting menu, but distinctly so-so delivery. Service good, but the food left much to be desired. Processed fish sticks really shouldn't be described as crab. That set the scene for a disappointing main. Left feeling out of pocket for a below par meal.
