A good place for a tourist to start learning about Mayan/ Mexican culture. Amongst ancient Mayan structures are nature attractions such as the swimable underground rivers (where they provide snorkel gear and towels), a beautiful aquarium, swimming w/ dolphins, butterfly enclosure, zoo and manatees. There are historical exhibits such as a Mayan ball court and Mayan village. Cultural exhibits like the
The Flyingmen known in Mexico as the Voladores de Papantla and the dinner show in the evening that highlights different areas of Mexico's music, dance and dress is fantastic! There are a number of eating areas w/ different types of food where anyone would be happy.

There's a lot to explore here. The underground rivers were really fun, but we gave our snorkels in at the end of that and wanted to get them from a different place later but were told we could only get them from the place at the start, which was annoying. When we did go snorkelling there weren't any fish to be seen in that area. There were lots of additional extras you could do like swimming with dolphins, but we felt we had spent enough on the admission alone. There's a butterfly house, a gorgeous shallow beach area that would b great for kids, aquariums, There is so much choice on activities. As others have said, the show is worth staying for but I felt it could have been half an hour shorter in the second half.

This is an amaizing Eco Theme Park with a lot of activities and things to do and experience, Xcaret is a quite large facility that offers attractions for everyone, since calm natural beaches to snorkeling in underground rivers going through natural caverns by your own. Mexico Espectacular is presented during the evening, this is a colorful and spectacular show, very rcommended. By last, one day will be not enough to discover all you can do, you can pay second day at 50% off.

This is our 2nd time visiting Xcaret and it never dissapoints! We loved it so much the last time we visited Cancun and had to return. So many things to do and see here you definaltely need all day. Our package was the Xcaret Plus so it included our round trip air conditioned tour bus, buffett lunch which had amazing food, our entrances to the park and lockers. We arrived around 8:30 AM and decided to purchase the dinner for the nightly show which was about $84 dollars for the both of us. We then went straight to the underground rivers, a must do! it's one of our favorite things to do here. You have to get the life jacket and also snorkel gear but we opted out for that. Life jacket is included though. We did the Rio Paraiso, that was fun! they are little canoe boats that take you around one of the rivers for about 20 mns, the walk to get on the Rio Paraiso is about a 20 mn trail but definately worth it. We saw the turtles(huge!), aquarium, jaguars, the chariada/horse show at 6 pm, We saw other things as well but our most favorite activity to do here is the night show, It's a must see! the dinner was delishes and got to sit front row! it's a 2 hour culture show that includes the mayan ball game, the spanish conquest and a mariachi musical! Thee best!, We love it here and will always return when we visit Cancun

We spent a full two days exploring the XCaret Eco Park. Our favorite things were the dinner show (the first hour is the best ... it features the Mayan-theme. The second hour is full of dances from the various Mexican regions). We loved floating through the underground canals, the butterfly gardens, seeing the wildlife. It is pricy, but we got a discount because we stayed at the Grand XCaret next door.
