This is a beautifully designed theme park. It is spotless, well-maintained and friendly with no hidden costs or tricks (except costs for major optional activities like swimming with dolphins). That said, there is not really a lot to do here. You can look at about a dozen species of animals in enclosures (mantees, stingrays, turtles, flamingos, and a couple of big cats... . And you can sit on the man-made beach, but there are no animal shows or rides (except a silent boat ride, which is great for parents). Don't expect Sea World. The two really unique and memorable attractions included in the admission price are the "underground rivers" and the night show. The rivers are canals in deep (man-made) canyons and tunnels that even little kids can float down. The night show starts with a couple of Mayan ball games (one with a flaming ball), and a dramatic representation of the Spanish conquest. This part of the show is really incredible. The second act is almost all folk dances -- all very beautiful and professional, all with mostly live music. The optional meal during the performance was excellent: as good as any high-end restaurant.
