This was an all day trip but worth it. The snorkeled in the under ground river, saw many animals, saw ancient ruins, giant sea turtles, sharks, dolphins, and sting rays were out of this world. Buffet at one of the restaurants was top notch had something for everyone. The Mexican show at the end of the day was one of a kind, thanks for a great time.

We paid a steep price to have our ceremony here but it was worth it!!! We only saw pictures online previous to getting married there and it exceeded all expectations. The view is stunning and the sensation of walking in the chapel doors unforgettable! Highly recommend!

At first glance you may think that this is just another 'theme' park, but it is not. It mixes the culture of Mexico with exhibits and animal/sea life in a way that you can enjoy and learn from. The water activities are not flumes and slides and that sort of thing, but underground rivers that you can swim in and dolphins, fish and ray that you can swim with. The majority of activities are free once you have paid the admission price, and there is an amazing evening show (7-9pm) that is also free and well worth staying around for.

It´s so amazing to be in contact with the nature and all those underground rivers! I am sure i´ll be back one day to Xcaret! We went with ower child (2years and half old) and you can rent strollers with big whell so it´s easy to ride it! Must Go place!

This was our first excursion in Mexico and we weren't disappointed. We had paid for the plus package which entitled us to lunch and drinks plus free hire of the snorkelling equipment. The snorkelling was great and particularly good if you are a novice like myself. The one thing we found was that the site itself was very hot and humid so drink plenty when you can and seek the shade during the midday sun. The historical sites of the old Mayan civilisation were interesting as well as the Mexican cemetery. We did not stay for the evening performance as we felt we had spent a good 6 hours already there. The animals around the site were lovely to look at and spend time with, we were lucky enough to swim with dolphins later in our holiday and swam with them at Xcaret which was a nice coincidence.
Remember to take comfy shoes, small (easy to carry) bottles of water, sun cream and a hat! And waterproof camera for swimming in the cenote if you like that kind of thing. They give you towels so don't worry about taking them with you and remember your $300 peso deposit per person for the equipment. If you want to snorkel again during the day (for which there are lots of opportunities) keep hold of your equipment (it's easy to follow the crowds and hand it all in after the cenote and we wished we hadn't.)
Enjoy! It's a long day but worth it.
