Plan this trip well in advance. Communication with mimi is exclusively via email and it takes at least 1/2 day to get a response. The information on the website is accurate, be sure to study it.
Our experience-family of 5 with 3 teenagers took the 5 hour fishing/lunch/snorkeling package. The weather was iffy and it was questionable whether the trip would even happen. Mimi did send Captain Edgar's cell number to call if I wanted to confirm. We arrived 10 minutes late for our 1pm departure, but it didn't matter, as the crew wasn't ready for us-they needed to get gas. We departed at 1:45. Captain Edgar greeted us and then sent us off with Captain Charlie.
Our 16 year old almost immediately became scared of the ride. Captain Charlie was very accomodating and offered to either take her back or continue to the private beach. We opted to take her to the private beach with my husband, while the remainder of our party continued to fish. We caught several trigger fish and one white snapper. We went back to the private beach, which is quite littered. The "lunch" is really just snack of your catch, fresh quacamole, and tortilla chips. Good, but not a meal.
We then headed back. In total, the trip was 4 hours. We couldn't extend it any longer because it was getting dark.
All in all, fun, but I wish communication was a little easier and that I would have received the 5 hours that I paid for.
