My husband and I stayed here on april 29 2014. We were the oldest people , there were mostly young travellers from all over the world . they were friendly and very quiet and considerate of others. The room was spotless and very comfortable. we would recommend this quaint hotel to other retired travellers wanting a clean quiet friendly, well located hotel.

Room Tip: ground floor rooms better if you have heavy luggage

The owners are excellent! Full if useful information and knowledge about the town! The whole place is covered in an array of exotic Mexican colours! The rooms and simple and clean, with a fridge, just what you need! It's lively and full of character and positioned perfectly for everything you could want to do in playa del carmen! A great little roof terrace for reading and enjoying a beer! Definitely recommend to the tired traveler looking for basic, clean, safe accomadation!

this hotel was great, very cheap if you see all what you have, greaat and comfortable bed, hot water, TV, towels, the location is perfect, 4 blocks from the beach, 3 from the main street, 1 from the minibus station, and 4 from the bus terminal. the owners are kind and helpful, helping us in everithing we need. I totally recomend this place if you go to playa del carmen.

Owners are super!! This is listed as a HOSTEL also. The owner required us to pay the agreed rate PLUS the reservation fee at the Hostels.com referral site. Very basic lodging, which is all we wanted. If you are staying for a while the kitchen is useful. Always bring ear plugs to these places. A/C is loud and there are street noises.

Room Tip: The colectivo from Tulum drives right past the front door. The colectivo stand is just a block E and a block S.

If you are looking for a quiet hostel/hotel a short walk away from the busy 5th avenue craziness... this is it! We had a beautiful, colorful room with our own private toilet and shower - for a hostel price! Towels and bedding were included. The hosts were friendly and welcoming and we really enjoyed our stay. In the courtyard there is a table, where we could sit and relax (and enjoy some breakfast in the morning) - and if we had wanted, there were plenty of books to share and read in the reception. I had the feeling that I was getting the 'true Mexican experience' at this hotel. Thank you!
