4 of 7 who ate here woke in the middle of the night with montezuma revenge. Terrible, will never go back. They forgot to take one of our orders so the service didn't even make up for the rotten food. Ask to see them open the bottle of water, we think they just refill with tap. Good luck if you go there....

Been here before 3 yrs back and was excellent ! Went 26th and from start stale bread welcome drink disgusting and then my steak even though cooked medium tough as old boots and cold! Was busy put the info down on feedback form but still no one asked us if the meal was good or bad ! It's expensive and I've had better steak in a take away sandwich my son liked his meal of chicken fingers and chips BBQ sauce my husband said his was ok cowboy steak but for price of this place it should be all excellent so if you want decent meal and value for money give this place a miss

On our recent trip to Riviera Maya, my wife and I chose to eat again at La Casa del Agua. We have eaten there on several previous trips to Riviera Maya taking friends once plus all our sons and their wives have eaten there. Our last trip we arrived just at dusk and were seated on the front of the second story overlooking 5th Street. My wife chose the Grilled Grouper with Goat Cheese and I had the Fish Fillet au Mediterranean Vinaigrette with the "catch of the day" which was also grouper. Both were absolutely excellent - we tasted each other's dishes and both slightly preferred mine. We shared a Caprese Salad which had an interesting and delicious basil pesto on top. The new chef from Peru has some interesting touches. Our bottle of Sauvignon Blanc was very good, although the first glass was not chilled sufficiently, but the remainder of the bottle chilled quickly in the tableside ice bucket. Our waiter was very good. It was another excellent meal in probably our favorite restaurant in Playa del Carmen. We'll certainly dine there again.
