I wanted a special meal to celebrate my 30th year in sobriety, so I had perused the posted menu for Carboncito's that afternoon and decided to return that evening. There was a short wait before being seated at a small table. I ordered the tuna fillet rare, and it came that way, deliciously seared and coated with sesame. There were other entrees that caught my eye, like grilled grouper (almost every restaurant in Playa was offering grouper) and sizzling shrimps, but for me, tuna is special and even heart healthy. It came as 2 pieces of maybe 4 oz. each, and I enjoyed every bite. One peculiarity of this restaurant is that when customers order drinks, the waiter brings them out balanced on his head, making for numerous photo ops. He didn't have much trouble balancing my can of diet coke, but it was still fun.
