“Hidden tresure , great hotel”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed May 3, 2011

I booked the hotel through the internet , we rented a car and arrived on saterday in Mérida. The view from the hotel on the outside frightened me , travelling with 2 young children but inside this was paradise. The owner is super and the breakfast delicious. We stayed alone in this hotel ( no other guests) so the children had their own private pool. Merida during the weekend is great , fiesta and safe ! Thanks to the staff at Hacienda Merida, our heaven in Mexico, we would recommend this hotel very much

We stayed at the Hacienda Merida for just one night over the Easter Holiday. The city was alive and a bit crazy with families enjoying the holiday. The Hacienda Hotel was a lovely and needed respite from the busy city. The owner couldn't have been more gracious. We will definitely return!

This is overdue but want to thank Sara and the hotel staff for making our stay beautiful! To our surprise Carnival was celebrated the Sunday we arrived-the city was full of life and very loud so it was wonderful to go back to the hotel and away from the noise.

The location to the square and several great eating spots was perfect. The pool is very nice for the small botique hotel model. I was very impressed with the operation.

We stayed overnight on our way to the airport. From the outside we we a little concerned but once inside WOW!!! The staff went out of there way to be helpful, they arranged our taxi for the airport early in the morning and for a taxi to a dinner engagement. The Taxi was on time, remember this is Mexico. The hotel is a stunning blend of contemporary features and old world charm. If you have a need to stay in Merida this is a sure bet.
Is it cheap, no.
Is it very nice, oh yes.

My wife rated it as one of the highlights of our 2 month trip.

Old world charm, with modern amenities and service.

+++++++++ for sure.

This small hotel does all the small things exactly right, from the shady courtyard to the little home made nibbles with drinks, the freshly squeezed orange juice, the friendly and coutreous staff, and finally to the pleasantly surprising reasonable bill. It's a short walk to the town square, and Merida itself is unprepossessing, but a good touring base. Full marks to a small boutique hotel that goes the extra mile to please.

This hotel was the highlight of our stay in Merida, the hotel is an oasis of peace 2 blocks from the busy centro. It is tastefully renovated and minimally designed to leave you to enjoy fully the touching beauty of the colonial architecture. We love it !!!
