La cocina de la tia Ló is located on Calle 47 x 60 y 62 near Santa Ana Park.
Elaine, the owner, opened the restaurant recently.
La cocina de la tia Ló is a fairly typical cocina eonomica except Elaine has added some new menu items like: Quekas/Empanadas, sopes, tortas cochinita, doratditas, hot dogs, french fries and more including a daily main dish with sides.
I have visited La cocina de la tia Ló for a quick snack a few times. It is small with plastic tables and chairs and a black and white decor. One snack I look forward to is the freshly fried french fries, to me, they are a rarity.
Cocina de la Tia Ló also delivers to nearby residences or businesses. So, I had the meal of the day delivered to my casa. The meal consisted of:
A light tomato soup with crunchies started the meal, followed by pork cutlets delicately seasoned with a wonderful combination of spices. Side dishes included potatoes, fried plantains and a bit of lettuce and tomatoes along with a serving of black beans and corn tortillas
It was delicious and all for 35$MX. It is easy and relatively inexpensive to eat well in Merida.
