The Los Arcos B & B is a beautiful place. David, our host, has a unique home brimming with art, antiques and other wonderful collections. He is an amazing host and went out of his way to make out stay wonderful. The garden and pond are breathtaking. Rooms great, tastefully decorated and spotlessly clean. Maya and Isabella, the resident dogs were delightful, very entertaining and gave us a needed animal fix. Without a doubt the best b & b we have ever stayed in!

I would return to Merida just to stay here!
And I did hide out here for three days (having found Merida less than attractive - except as a stepping off place to Uxmal - better than Chichen Itza).
To repeat, the house is gorgeous and the two rental rooms remote via a gorgeous garden.
David is the perfect host - and breakfasts too much.
Worth a trip!!

my wife and i have traveled all over the world and we have never stayed in a more beautiful and comfortable place than los arcos, in the fine city of merida. david, the proprietor, is an adorable man. he makes you feel as if you are staying in a close friend's home. and what a home it is! great paintings all over the home with a fantastic pool and much greenery outside the house, in front of our most comfortable room and bed. the breakfasts were the best we had in mexico, and the food in mexico is wonderful. delicious omelets and huge bowls of delicious fruit. the best papaya i have ever eaten. what was great for us was coming from new york city we do not spend a lot of time outdoors. sitting out in david's garden was so pleasant. you knew you were in the yucatan. we look forward to returning.

This place is amazing! David is a wonderful host, the rooms are cozy, the garden is gorgeous, and the breakfasts by the pool are incredible. We stayed in the single garden room. Skylights let in lots of natural light. Within walking distance of the plaza and downtown sights and restaurants. Parking on the street.

We try hard to create special experiences on our trips and shun the typical cookie cutter vacations.

Our stay at Los Arcos was just what we look for. it is a special place, run by special people.

Guest Rooms: Comfy beds, feels like you are staying in the guest house of a dear friend rather than a B&B.

Main House: AMAZING! It is filled with exceptional art and artifacts from around the world. Not to mention the fine art pieces created by the owner David!

Grounds/Pool: What a great area to hang out in. Checkout the rooftop area too! (The pool was too cool for us - since we're from Florida...)

Breakfast: Wow! Both filling and delicious.

Service: Above and beyond. They really welcome guests, and care about their experience in Merida. They gave great suggestions for dining, activities, etc.
