The whole approach and plaza, reminiscent of a Mayan pyramid, is amazing. The steps up to the plaza have an Escher-esque quality which conceals the universally accessible ramps. The Mayan heads, each from a different artist, are completely arresting. We spent at least 30 minutes and hadn't even got to the building yet! The artifacts are terrific and the displays are fantastic. All of Mayan history is covered, beginning with the Big Bang. However, brush up on your Spanish - there's no English here. We don't speak Spanish and loved it anyway.
