This mansion-restaurant portrays a pristine architecture that shows off the luxuries of the henequen boom circa 1900. The spaces have been restored to combine the regal doors and high ceilings with modern furniture and art, creating a beautiful scenery worth visiting just to wander room to room. Then you have the food! A worthy match to the architecture. Creative, yet traditional. Sublime, yet bold. Delicious, colorful, alive. Service is super nice. They'll show you around the restaurant and answer any questions you have. If you are in Merida you can't miss K'U'UK.

This restaurant, located in what appears to be an old mansion, is apparently known as one of the best in the world. I can't attest to that, having never been to any of the worlds best restaurants, but it is certainly the best that I've visited. The specialty cocktails were impressive. Every dish we had could not possibly have been better. We ordered side dishes thinking they were for one person, so we ordered 5 or 6 for the three of us so we could try each of them. They came in large bowls enough for all three. The server said that they were all laughing in the kitchen wondering how three people were going to eat all of this food. Specialty cocktails, beers and wine, more of the most delicious food we've ever had than we could come close to finishing, all for about $130 US including a 20% tip. A little pricey for Mexico but a relative bargain for us.

This restaurant was a surprize in our vacations to Merida and chichenitza. After Alinea in chicago I can say that this is now my second best restaurant. Kind and elegant waiters, wonderful tasting menu that shows impressive skills and flavors, even fun and unexpected. Delicious cocktails ( ask flor the radish martini ) and beautiful home. 100% in your list of things to do and eat in Messico.

The 13 courses tasting menu is great. Gastronomical cuisine inspired by Mayan history and ingredients. Wine selection is also interesting. It can be seen as expensive for Mexico, but you would pay the same menu and quality 2-3 times more in Europe or North America. Staff and owner are super friendly, and made us visit the kitchens, labs and cellar!
