One of the many library activities is a guided walking visit to area homes. It starts with coffee and pastries in the garden and a talk about how the climate, history, and geography of the area influences the architecture. Three finished, and one under renovation, houses were featured on my tour, though this varies by week. Homeowners gave personal histories of their homes and everyone was open to questions, from gardening to construction. Interesting for visitors and residents alike to see the magic that's been created behind some of those walls.
