This restaurant has been around for many years. Their chicken club sandwich and flavored waters are sure to please any hunger person and bring a smile to their face.

The turkey sandwich and chicken soup (not Jewish style, of course, but still terrific) are the best in the city! The fresh juices are incredible. Excellent, attentive service. Reasonable prices. Fantastic location with a lovely view of the Montejo monument on the Paseo. The french fries are authentic crinkle cut "diner" style. The ice cream brownie (served warm) is to die for!!!! There's a reason this place has been around for more than 50 years.

This is not a cafeteria, as the name implies, but more like a sidewalk cafe. The food is typical and delicious, although there is nothing fancy about it. It has been a landmark in the area for, I have been told, more than 20 years. The service is always wonderful and the prices are ridiculously reasonable. This restaurant caters to everyone and it makes no difference who you are. I have always been warmly greeted and the waiters always remember my name and preferences. Cafeteria Impala is frequently used as a point of reference and is on Paseo de Montejo at Calle 47. Go, enjoy and see for yourself why it is nearly impossible to get a table after 9:30 in the evening.

My husband and I wanted to find an inexpensive cafe on the Paseo to watch the traffic. After checking menus at each place we noticed the Cafeteria Impala, and how they always had patrons. The name "cafeteria" is misleading. They are an inexpensive little cafe that specializes in good sandwiches located at the traffic circle at Calle 47. The location is perfect to watch the world go by. We were growing tired of Yucatan cooking so their huge sandwiches were a welcome change. The waiters were friendly, helpful and attentive. I highly recommend you stop in for a relaxing casual meal.
