Pros:
- Rooms are big enough.
- Nice towels and linens.
- Clean.
- Nice staff.
- Wi-fi that works.
- Nice shower.
- Free parking.

Cons:
- The bed could be softer.
- A restaurant waiter commented that 'it was ok if we didn't want to give tips' ironically. We didn't tip since it was a buffet Breakfast. We filled a positive satisfaction form and he took it and read in front of us worried that we would complain about something.

We had a perfect experience at this hotel-all of the staff were great as was the food and room. The front desk folks were very helpful and the bell men were always there for us. The food in the restaurant was good too

Room Tip: Walking to the downtown is easy and convenient but the taxi fare is inexpensive too

After coming from boutique hotels in Guanajuato and San Miguel de Allende I was disappointed with this hotel. For an intercontinental I expected more. It needed a makeover.rooms were tired and bathroom amenities limited. No mini bar fridge either. The rooms are extremely noisy as they surround the pool and having shrieking children wake you at
7am. Also the long corridors echo every conversation being had. Needed earplugs.
Wi-Fi was poor at times.so difficult to get laundry done. No bags or forms in room and such a lenghthy process to make it happen.Breakfast buffet was ok had better at other IC hotels. Also a little too far from the action and main square. Needed a taxi to get there each time although only $5. The most enjoyable part
of our stay were the staff. Particularly the bellmen and reception. After the car we booked to hire through American Car Rental could not provide any cars on the day ( terrible service)the wonderful Alvaro organised a taxi and English speaking driver to take us to Chichen itza and then onto our next destination Playa del Carmen.

I stayed at this hotel during a business conference. Nice and extremely helpful staff at the front desk. I had trouble with the bathroom and very fast the front desk solved the issue. Though the hotel is a little dated, it is clean and the room is spacious. The beautiful construction and style send you to the past, like being in a 'hacienda'.

We spent our first night in Mexico here. Although we would soon head out to less-visited areas, we appreciated the helpful service here. Valet parking was much appreciated as we did not have to try to worry about finding the right parking area in a city we did not yet know. The staff was very helpful and spoke excellent English. We were able to walk to several restaurants, although the restaurant on site looked nice as well. I found the bed exceptionally comfortable. This hotel did not impart for me any special local flavor, but it enabled us to get a great jumping off point in Yucatan.

Just stayed here during a business conference.
Positives- extremely helpful staff at the front desk. I had trouble with the computer at the business center so they helped me print directly from the front desk. They were helpful with directions and advice. My shower was cold initially so they sent someone immediately to fix it. The room itself is spacious.
The breakfast buffet lasted until noon so always gave plenty of time to go and one day even had some beautiful live music which was a real pleasure. The buffet had many options including healthy items like egg whites.
Disadvantages: there is a cute little pool but it is in a courtyard surrounded on all sides by the building so was always shaded every afternoon even when there was sun out. Also the internet signal was not good inside my room so it would not work on my iphone at all and even on my laptop certain websites had trouble loading. However, there is good signal in the public areas of the hotel. The walls were also a bit thin so I could hear another couple above me at times but the location itself is not a noisy part of town.

The location is great. The hotel is located within walking distance of the central sites. The staff was friendly. They have a small lobby bar. The break east was good. The room was adequate. The shower took awhile to get warm. The beds were adequate. The hotel is a little dated.
