Close to everything! The service was unbelievable and the food was awesome. Very clean with a relaxing atmosphere. I especially enjoyed the open garden in the middle of the hotel. The staff was very friendly and helpful and directed us to many great places that were not in the local guide books.

We had dinner at this restaurant at one of the busiest evenings! A big Saturday night festival right in front of the hotel. We were expecting some delay in the service, but that and the food was both excellent.
We wish we had stayed in the hotel as well, we only got good remarks!
And the location is also great.

Breakfast is a big deal in Merida and it usually goes on until noon. We ended up brunching several times instead of lunch. We had 2 breakfasts at Casa San Angel and both were excellent. My husband loved the Mexican dishes and I had very good French toast and bacon. We also went there for dinner on Saturday night and the meat was delicious. Be sure to go there on a Saturday night and take a table on the patio. You will have a front row seat for the folklore song and dance show just in front of the hotel. Also, be sure to go into the lobby and have a look at the exotic murals covering all the walls. They also have free WIFI in the restaurant which was handy for us to check our email.

Casa San Angel, the restaurant, is co-located in a charming boutique hotel along with a fabulous gift shop (pricey but all authentic). The location, at the foot of Paseo Montejo, is quiet and pedestrian-friendly. The food is excellent! We've eaten there a number of times (three trips to Merida) and never been disappointed. Usually, we can't resist the enchilada verde but have also tried their Italian offerings (spaghetti carbonara and fettucini alfredo) and they were superb. The service is impeccable and the atmosphere quiet and relaxing. I would recommend this restaurant to friends and family.

My wife and I dined at the restaurant when we were in Mexico in May and we absolutely loved the food and our waiter Sergio, he was incredible. It was so delicious and the service was so great that we dined there four times during the two weeks we were there.
We also have to say that the young lady who was working at the desk was so incredibely kind and helpful as well.
We loved Merida so much that we decided to buy a house there and it is only a few blocks away from Casa San Angel, so Sergio we will be back on August 22nd to taste the wonderful food and enjoy the incredible service, I just hope you will be there to wait on us.
This undoubtedly was our favorite place to dine in Merida. The food was superb and the prices very reasonable. Thank you.
