The highlight of this hotel was the center pool restaurant garden area. Such an oasis in the middle of the city!
The front desk staff were very helpful and could communicate in English which we found very helpful.
We signed up for a tour to chichen itza through the hotel. The price was reasonable. However beware that drinks are nor included in the buffet (and a coca cola will cost 30 pesos!). We were also unprepared (maybe uninformed) of an extra stop at a cenote. We had the choice to sit in the bus and wait or pay entrance fee. Unfortunately we did not have swimsuits and towels because we did not know about this possibility. The cenote was a highlight of the day even though we couldn't swim). we would recommend asking for full details of the tour pkg. We really enjoyed the tour.
The room we stayed in on our first stay was small but comfortable. On our return we stayed in a mainfloor room by the lobby. The room was beautiful, spacious, clean and very comfortable. Noise was a bit of an issue as we were close to the lobby and the hall traffic.
The restaurant was great. We ate a lot of our meals there. Eduardo, one of the main servers, offered outstanding service, was very friendly and could also communicate in English. The two hot dogs and fries meal (35 pesos total) was a great pick for our kids and was great value! The panuchos were delicious.
We appreciated the proximity to the ADO bus terminal. We were able to walk to the hotel with our luggage in tow.
Merida is a beautiful city to visit with a rich history and friendly people. This hotel made our stay in Merida very pleasant:)
