Hafing been to Chaya Maya the night before we were looking for some good Mexican food. We found La Casa de Frida, and although we were the only customers at the time( it was fairly early evening) we had a great meal. We had the “Chiles en nogades!”, a poblano chili stuffed with minced pork! Nuts , plantain, apples and pears, covered with a cream sauce doppled with red pomegranate seeds( it represents the Mexican flag) and we also had the duck in Mole. The Mole was superb.
The Margharitas were excellent with a good helping of tequila.
The restaurant is very quirky, painted in bright course a la Frida Kahlo. With many images of her and copies of her works of art. No sign of a bunny for us( would not have appreciated it anyway)
