Back for a second visit! A very comfortable B&B. Everything you'd want; clean rooms, large baths,
excellent mattresses, plenty of hot water, dipping pool, quiet street, very good breakfasts, a gathering place to meet other guests, close to restaurant and at a price much lower than you would expect to pay. Lorenzo is a real bargain. A good walk to the Centro but cabs are cheap if that bothers you.

Much has been said, so I try to add few considtions. The b&b is a b&b, a place where breakfast in served by the owner (in the garden next to the swimming pool) to all guests together, just to help conversation and knowing one another. According to the number of rooms available (5), guests are never more then ten which is good in all senses, from early morning to late night.

Room Tip: Our room (number three) was nice and confortable, and bed was redone every day; bathroom was elegant...

Happy to arrive at such a lovely location and have such a jovial host as Larry.
Gracious, fun host, very comfortable bed, quiet location, easy walking to sites, breakfast made to order, and just loved Bella the cat. bb

I loved staying here. I was worried about the bed. COMFORTABLE. I have a Sleep Number Bed at home and this bed was perfect! The bathroom was important too and that is 5 stars. Great Shower! Larry was very welcoming with a great sense of humor, great cook, and pours a GREAT drink! Thanks Larry for making my week awesome!

We spent six nights at La Casa Lorenzo, and enjoyed every minute. Larry, the owner, was so kind and welcoming and offered top notch service. The location is great, we walked to centro and environs every day. Our room was clean, spacious and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was large with great water pressure and hot water. It was heaven for us, after experiencing a horrible stay elsewhere in Merida. The breakfasts were super; we had something different each day. Eggs and bacon, breakfast casserole, cochinita pibil on Sunday (specialty Yucatan roasted pork), Larry's famous french toast and more! He always had a large pot of coffee or tea available and we could help ourselves for refills. We were lucky to have fresh squeezed orange juice (seasonal). The outdoor pool and adjacent kitchen were so nice. Best of all was Larry. He invited us to Christmas dinner while we were there, at no charge. He made turkey and had all the fixings. We were treated like part of the family. He really goes over and beyond to make his guests enjoy themselves. He's very knowledgeable about where to go, what to do as well. Stay here, you won't regret it!

This was my first trip to Merida with some friends who had been there before.

La Casa Lorenzo was the perfect place to stay. The owner, Larry, was very accommodating with advice on where to go and he made us different breakfasts each day to get us started.

The rooms are big, clean, with good water pressure (which can be a challenge in Mexico). The B&B is on a relatively quiet street, but close enough walking distance to restaurants and shopping.

I really enjoyed my stay.

First trip to Merida and the accommodations I had made didn't work out. I found LaCasaLorenzo online and emailed them. Larry immediately got me in and I have been here about 2 weeks. I don't know if the accommodations or the host is the best. The rooms are very nice, clean, cool, and have everything you need. Bottled water, bath towels, extra towels for the pool and beach, great mattress, wall safe, and a/c if you want it. Larry is warm, kind, and very helpful, as well as a great information source and conversationalist. When you arrive, he makes sure you know where everything is located at the B&B and in Merida. His recommendations for eating are great!!! The garden, the pool, the back kitchen for wonderful breakfast (OJ to kill for, also) and evening drinks with other guests to relax and chat. All just add to the Experience. Easy to get to places by foot, yet, very quiet to be this close to El Centro. I must admit, I have been to many b&b's and this was the best experience I have ever had and will be returning.
