This is the typical overpriced tourist spot we try to avoid on our travels. The margaritas were watery and the food was just so-so--edible but unremarkable. The atmosphere is fun though, with large trees and a bar area in the outdoor garden. We felt like it was a Mexican version of TGI Friday's--not terrible, but not really original or notable for its cuisine. The prices are higher than most other restaurants in Merida, and in our opinion, Pancho's isn't really worth it.

We tried finding other restaurants of equivalent calibre but kept returning here. Food is good, service is friendly, there are fans to cool you down.

There are many restaurants in Merida to choose from, many of while serve up great food at a very reasonable price. Pancho's is not quite in this category, being more expensive than the average eating place, although still pretty good by US standards (a family of four cost atou US$110, including a bottle of wine).

The food was really good. My enchillada's in green sauce were just what I wanted, and so much like Tex Mex (oh, by the way, this is not the best place for authentic Yucatan or Mexican food by any means). My wife really enjoyed her soft crab (one of the specials) and the chocolate brownie at the end was heavenly.

For me, the best part of the experience was the atmosphere and the service. We had a table outside on the back patio, a space that is totally enclosed and full of trees and shrubs. In March this was a very pleasant setting but I imagine it's rather sweaty in the summer.

Overall, I would recommend this place if you want to spend a little more on a meal and guarantee good food, atmosphere and service.

This restaurant was recommended by a member of our hotel management and as his recommendations have been excellent 'til now reserved a table. To start with the table we were shown to had not been cleaned properly from the previous clients or set up again although there were plenty of tables that had been. The starters of lime soup and enchiladas were average with almost inedibly salted meat used in the enchilladas and the soup being lukewarm and tasted like stock before anything is added to it. Our main courses of Mexican burger and chicken breast were then served. My husband enjoyed his burger as he very rarely can get a rare burger nowadays but didn't enjoy it being smothered in mayo and raw onion. The chicken was lukewarm but served with interesting additions (also lukewarm). The staff weren't very attentive and were not to be seen between serving others. When the bill arrived it had a slip attached to it telling us that they recommended a 15 % service charge. We did not feel we wished to pay that much and removed the slip. When our change finally arrived it was for the total of the bill plus their recommended service charge, and yet again no staff were to be seen to query this. A very disappointing and expensive meal (over 800 pesos including one beer and a vodka coke) for the quality of the food and service and we certainly would not recommend a visit

A fun spot with good food. Try for either the back patio or the upper level with a view. Good food, wine and service. We dined twice during our Merida stay.
