The property, intimate, the service, impecible, a lovely place to stay for any occasion. We were there for our daughters wedding, which was perfect, just as planned, even the weather cooperated. The sunset cruise after the ceremony could not have been more fun. All in our party had one of the best times of their lives. Other patrons at the hotel gathered to watch which made everyone a part of our very special day with our daughter and new son-in-law.

Not enough can be said for the service, the best ever!!!!!!!! They semed more like friends than employees. The food and it's presentation rivaled anyone anywhere, none better. We all regretted having to leave. Thanks to everyone at this Palace location for all their efforts afforded us in our stay. We'll be back!

Go here with your lover/spouse/partner or stay home.

This is a very quiet, intimate resort (62 rooms), so if there is an obnoxious guest or two, it makes it awful for everybody. It is a "COUPLES ONLY" resort and we found it to be incredible. If you want action, go to Cancun.

Keep in mind the beaches in Mexico are public, so there may be an occassional local using the water. The staff is great about nicely asking them to leave if they try to use the resort facilities or beach chairs.

We had an amazing time here and will go back as soon as we can. There were only 12 people checked in for most of the week. We felt we had our own private hideaway. We were spoiled, spoiled, spoiled.

The beach is white sand and the water is shallow, clear, and warm. We spent every day by the beach and many hours floating in the ocean.

The beds are phenomenal with highest quality linens and towels. Turn down service at night...all the staff is friendly and treat you like family. Yes, they know your names and are genuinely glad you're there.

Isla Mujeres is S-L-O-W and authentically Mexican, which we loved. An earlier comment said the food was better at McDonald's and no one spoke English. My bet is this guy is not a seasoned traveler!!! HELLO...You're in a foreign country where they speak Spanish and eat Mexican food. It's THEIR country! That's the charm of Isla. If you want to vacation where everyone speaks English and eats hamburgers, then please stay in the USA.

The buffets were huge, even with only 12 people at the resort. The food was very good and the presentations were outstanding. If you didn't see what you liked on the buffet, the chef was always happy to take your personal order.

We ate lobster/steak on a table in the sand by candlelight. It was wonderful.

The atmosphere is casual, not sloppy. The tables were set with white linen, but shorts were fine for men in the evening and women wore sundresses/sandals or capris.

Loved the free calls back to the USA . The transfers to and from the airport/ferry/cabs were prearranged by the resort and went off without a hitch. Thank you for that!

Best things: Beach, water, rooms, staff. (Glendy, Patricia)

Absolutely a gem...IF you like your partner and being in paradise.

This resort is wonderful. My husband and I went there for our annual getaway. The staff was just phenomenal. The resort is small enough to feel like you're all alone. I do have to say that the beach was too full of seaweed, but the staff was up early raking it into one big pile. Mario and all the staff were very friendly and courteous. We plan to go back soon and stay for 2 weeks!

We Honeymooned at Isla Mujeres Palace and had an absolutely fabulous time! Travel to the resort took longer than I thought. From the airport you take a shuttle to the port (takes 20-30 min), then you take ferry to Isla Mujeres (another 15-20 min), then take a cab to the resort (about 10 minutes). But everything was on time and went flawlessly. The staff at this resort are incredibly nice! There were not too many people and we felt like royalty the entire time we were there. Ulises is in charge of entertainment during the day and night. He was an extremely friendly and outgoing guy. He got us to meet other people at the resort by setting up beach and water volleyball games as well as night time activities like bingo and karaoke. We enjoyed some of the excursions that included a boat tour of the island, snorkeling, and swimming with dolphins! We took advantage of the 24 hour room service and also spent lots of time just relaxing by the pool or on the beach. Our last day ended up being the best. We rented a golf cart for $40 USD with another honeymoon couple we met at the resort. We went into town, ate authentic Mexican food, and bargained for some really fabulous jewelry. We made it back in time to enjoy our honeymooners dinner on the beach (lobster dinner on the beach available for non-honeymooners) for our last night. The only bad thing I have to say about the resort was that the food was really hit or miss. The buffet breakfast and lunch was limited and definitely lacked taste and looked a bit scary. We mostly stuck to the fresh waffles they make right in front of you. The hashbrowns were always pretty good and my husband mostly had cereal. As far as lunch goes, we quickly discovered that ordering from the swim up bar was the way to go rather than eat the buffet. I enjoyed the cheeseburger and my husband liked the BLT. The dinner options were usually pretty good. They had some great things I've never tried before like fried bananas and cream cheese (fabulous!). I was not a fan of the desserts, but I felt that worked in my favor. Probably need to lay off the deserts anyway : ) Besides the food, everything was as wonderful as we could have ever wanted. The resort was extremely clean and well taken care of. Our rooms were amazing! Very modern and up-to-date with an awesome 2 person jacuzzi tub! All-in-all this was by far the best vacation we have ever been on and we would (and have been) definitely recommend this place to family and friends.
