I am not easily impressed and was skeptical about all the great reviews I'd read and heard from friends... but it really is all it's chalked up to be! Breakfast is not just "help yourself" rolls, fruit and juice on a buffet but rather a seated, cook-to-order hot breakfast (my last day I even had it delivered to my room!). Sunsets on the roof top patio, with freshly mixed margaritas in hand were magical - and Steve's charming personality and fun playlists made it even better. All of these things add value to the trip but the time and energy saved by having Steve and Jose's knowledge of the island and various excursions is priceless. We were there in June (off-season) and were able to swim with whale sharks, enjoy a catamaran cruise for the super moon, and went out one night to watch sea turtles lay eggs on the beach. What an amazing trip!

We delight in converting skeptics into amigos (with a little help from our "Magic Margaritas"...)

The only reason I would think about not staying here again is because you can't walk out the door into Playa Norte but I still don't think that could keep me from going back. The breakfast is excellent and the rooftop happy hour was one of the highlights of each day we were there. Can't go wrong staying here!

Love the island, love the hotel, love the experience. Casa Sirena itself is beautiful and comfortable, and Steve has to be one of the world's greatest hosts. The breakfasts and sunset happy hours on the roof of the hotel are fantastic.

Room Tip: They're all good, but room 6 has the best view, looking out at the ocean.

We are very happy you made it a point to return to Casa Sirena... and bring five other couples along for a seven-night Private Hotel Rental. I'm already working on a new happy hour disco-karaoke mix for your next visit...

I stayed here for 3 nights and it was by far the best accommodation experience I encountered in Mexico. Steve, Jose and the team do everything they can to make your stay great. The breakfast, the rooms, happy hour.... Everything you read is true! There is a reason they are number one. Thank you Casa Sirena, cheers larraine :)

As I'm sure many people view tripadvisor for real opinions, my husband and I were on the same boat. We were wondering why so many people rated this the #1 B&B in MEXICO (not just in Cancun) and had to check it out. Casa Sirena is a small boutique hotel in the heart of Isla Mujeres. Steve, the owner, is a great host, he really does a great job letting you know the best kept places in Isla Mujeres (such as the best views, where to get good drinks etc) and goes out of his way to make sure you are comfortable. The staff (though don't speak too much english, we are in mexico... duh) are very nice and helpful; they serve an amazing breakfast daily and do a great job keeping the place clean and comfortable. Happy hour is fun, you get a chance to meet a lot of different people from all over.. Steve serves some strong yummy margarita's! :)

If you are looking for a typical american style-chain-resort-full-of-college-spring-break type in Mexico, this is not the place for you. This hotel (and island in general) was great for what we wanted: beautiful hotel, walking distance to the beach, breathtaking views, relaxing time with a drunk happy hour. Considering we have been to Mexico 4 times (even getting married in Mexico), this is the first time we are already talking about going back with friends! Overall a great experience.

Room Tip: Rooms on the 3rd floor with a balcony!

We have considered doing a new t-shirt that says "Isla Mujeres: Spring Break for the Parents of Spring Breakers!"

My husband and I recently returned from our 5th stay at Casa Sirena. We have been able to travel much of the world and Casa Sirena is hands down, our favorite place to stay. The rooms are immaculate and beautifully decorated. The staff is kind and hard-working. The breakfasts are just ridiculous (in a good way). Steve has a wealth of knowledge about the island and some of my best hours have been spent at his rooftop happy hour. It won't take you long to see why Casa Sirena has such adoring fans.

This was my fifth trip to Casa Sirena and it was just as fabulous as the first four visits. Steve continues to delight his visitors with beautifully appointed rooms, delicious gourmet breakfasts with just the right Mexican twist and don't even get me started on Happy Hours! The sunset views from the rooftop terrace with a perfect margarita in your hand is icing on the cake. Thank you Steve and staff! Hope to see you soon.

Room Tip: The view from room 6 is incredible and room 1 has a lovely terrace where you can enjoy your morning...
