Casa Sirena is, by far, the very best hotel Isla Mujeres has to offer a traveler. This boutique hotel gem does not missed one detail. A trip to this hotel will reward travelers with an ideal location, an immaculate room, and an amazing roof top view wrapped up in an impeccable package. Hotel owner Senor Steve Broin is always nearby to help his guests with his expertise and knowledge of the island, and his uncanny ability to never miss a detail. A review of Casa Sirena would be deficient if one did not mention either the breakfasts or Happy Hour... both of which are included with a stay (with the exception of Sunday - everyone needs a day off!). A breakfast at Sirena will leave you smiling and satisfied ready to start your day. Happy Hour at Sirena can be found on the roof top which allows guests to enjoy wonderful company, and always - a fantastic view of the island and its magnificent sunsets. I am not sure how he does it, but Steve consistently improves perfect ! You will not be disappointed !

Room Tip: Room one has an extended balcony which is lovely !

To our good fortune we spent a few evenings at the roof top Bar at Casa Sirena (usually just for guests...). Steve was a perfect host, giving us an education on Tequila and keeping us entertained. The views were stunning from the roof top, the rooms have a very nice atmosphere - feels like you've stepped into an old spanish colonial home with impeccable taste. The art collection is impressive, the company even better!! Highly recommend!!

Thanks for your comments... I love sharing the hotel's art collection (and the stories behind each of the pieces) with guests!

we had a wonderful stay, felt completely pampered and included in Casa Sirena's "family". For my mother, 85, it was an incredible experience alaso because Luca the chef prepared an incredible dinner party for her and the guests and friends... we want to go back soon! The island is gorgeous and we knew that, but Casa Sirena transforms everything in a dream. Thank you all.

Room Tip: all the rooms are different and equally beautiful and comfortable.

If you’re contemplating staying at Casa Sirena, you’re thinking too hard. Just book it! Steve has impeccable taste, which you’ll quickly appreciate as you enter the doorway of this relaxing retreat in the center of town. The Inn’s Spanish colonial design and architecture is inspiringly beautiful, and exemplifies the spirit and grace of the kind proprietor himself. Our room #5 can only be described as understated luxury at its best; where old world charm meets modern society with unique period paintings situated above an IPOD docking station. Need a flashlight or wine bottle opener? Check one of the drawers, as you’re sure to find it. Forget your beach bag, don’t worry, there’s one in the room. Leave those small shampoo and soaps at home. The bathroom has all you needs, including a hair dryer and robe. And I can’t forget the greatest part – Happy Hour where you’ll engage in some of the most fascinating discussions with other guests, and Steve’s lovely cohort of friends from around the island. If you’re a margarita connoisseur, you’re in for a treat. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casa Sirena and I bet you will, too. Thank you, Steve!

Thanks for the lovely review... It is indeed fun to live in "urban" Isla Mujeres, close to the beach yet surrounded by the sea!

Just returned from our 9th visit to Casa Sirena. Gets better every time. My husband and I were one of the first guests when Casa Sirena opened - we have gotten to know Steve and adore him and his beautiful Inn. Rooms are gorgeous, food is delicious and the company is what keeps us coming back. Perfect mix of relaxation and fun.

I absolutely loved this hotel. I stayed the week of Nov 18 - 25th. The staff were amazing and our host Luca, filling in for Steve, was delightful. The morning breakfast was so good with fresh fruit and fresh squeezed juice all before the main meal. My room was facing east on the third floor and I would open my patio doors and enjoy the ocean breeze. No need for air conditioning. Happy hour was located daily on the roof from 5 - 7 and this gave the guests an opportunity to get to know each other and enjoy complimentary drinks. From the roof you could see all of downtown as well as the ocean and Carribean. The rooms were decorated beautifully and so clean. The linens and beds were very comfortable. The rooms came with a mini bar which was perfect for storing cold beverages or snacks from the store. The staff was very familiar with the local restaurants and points of interest and were very helpful in assisting me with things to do on the island. I can't wait to return to Isla Mujeres and revisit Casa Sirena. This is one classy hotel that shouldn't be missed when visiting the island.

Casa Sirena is a beautiful place to relax while on Isla Mujeres. Steven gets every detail right, and he throws a great happy hour! The rooms are immaculate and very comfortable. Every accommodation in Mexico after Casa Sirena paled in comparison. It is easy to see why 60% of people who stay at Casa Sirena return for another visit. If you want to stay in paradise (away from the tourists in Cancun), this is the place!
