Cons - pool side room bed was a little hard but we slept well anyway. You can hear bands playing from the nearby bars if your sitting outside by the pool in the evening. But mostly quiet if you close your door to sleep.

Pros - great location! 1 minute walk to all the best restaurants, bars and stores. 5 minute walk to the beach. Had a nice outside massage nearby on the way to the beach, $40 USD for 1 hour.
Very friendly, clean affordable. Microwave, coffee machine, small TV which I didm't turn on for my two week stay.Great air-condition and a quite ceiling fan. Nice pool area with palm trees meets you when you slide your door open. Great patio loungers to sit around in as you use the free wifi to add a trip advisor review.

Room Tip: Rooms by the pool have a fairly hard queen size bed. Second floor rooms with pool balcony have a soft king size bed.

We have been coming to Isla for many years and have stayed in a half dozen different places. This is the one we will return to! In fact we already have. We were here in November, left to visit Palenque and returned in December. Having the mini-kitchen meant we could eat breakfast and lunch at home and save some money, always a plus. The rooms, the pool, the location are all perfect, as others have mentioned. The rate is very fair for what you get, the staff friendly, everything immaculate, so pleasant to sit on your porch overlooking the garden (even in the rain). Many people return here annually and stay for a number of weeks so you do meet other travelers and share info. Yes, the bed is "firm" but a big improvement over saggy old mattresses elsewhere!

This is a wonderful hotel in a perfect location. The staff is friendly, the rooms large and clean, and the courtyard pool was a great place to relax and meet other travelers. I appreciated the complimentary wi-fi as well, since many of the larger, more expensive hotels charge for theirs.

Two blocks north of the hotel, on the corner across from the graveyard, is a tiny white shack-thing with a lady making tacos. You must visit this taco lady, as her food is incredibly delicious. Be sure to ask for beans and guacamole on yours; they really tie the taco together!

Room Tip: I asked for a room overlooking Hidalgo and was not disappointed. The balcony was a great place to relax and watch people stroll down the street to the tunes coming from the bar across the way.

My wife and I arrived at this place on isla and were suprised how easy it was to get to from the ferry making it a +1.

Within 2 minutes of arriving on isla we asked the first person who looked local to point us in the direction of Hidalo Av and withing 10 minutes we were at our hotel. Its located literally in the heart of the market/restaurant area and only a short walk to the beach.

The hotel was nice an clean and the AC worked well through it seems the Wi-Fi doesnt work in the rooms, only the foyer. The pool area was mostly over run by kids the whole time but as the beach was only 5mins walk away this did not bother us! Other than that, the place was nice and what you would expect for the location and the price.

Would stay there again.

What a great place. So quiet by the pool w/ the touristy-craziness going on along Hidalgo. Close to everything. Pool is kept clean, grounds are manicured regularly and the staff is so nice. We would chat them up daily. We liked it so much we went back a second time.

Room Tip: When walking into the courtyard, rooms to the right will get full afternoon sun and rooms to the left will get full morning sun. Get the rooms straight across to avoid either.
