beautiful beach but unfortunately not as beautiful as it was when I first visited (2004). Hurricane damage & erosion has meant that huge sand bags have been installed and most of these are ripped an tatty now. It's necessary to save the beach but it's such a shame. Also, hundreds of empty sunbeds clogging up the beach, if nobody is renting them, they shouldn't be allowed to be put out.

We were so disappointed in this beach. Heard on the ferry coming over, from the taxi guy etc... "best beach". We walked from the PA down toward Avalon and it was noisy, difficult to walk with all the sand bags and jetty's and had bites all over our ankles. Yuck. Beach in front of PA or Avalon area is MUCH nicer.

Terrific white sandy beaches on north side of island with plenty of food/drink options nearby. Also people selling stuff on beach, though persistent, relatively courteous and not pushy.

by far the nicest beach in isla but not as good as playa del carmen and tulum. the beach is quite small and it's full of sun chairs and seaweed but it's still has the turquoise blue warm water that is picture perfect
